Re: possible LTO super charger?

I thought obsessively today about LTO batteries, and I Was frustrated with the fact that they are able to be charged at such a high C rate, but that house service here in the states, even 240 services, can not reach the full potential of LTO quick charging. I Was racking my brain for ways to actual...

Re: Solar Well Pump

In order to smooth out starting loads use oil filled capacitors . they will take the shock of the starting load off the inverter. You can use one out of a house air conditioner , it stays on line with the inverter. You need to put it in a metal box if it should ever fail with a 20amp circuit breaker...

Re: Energy storage

If you were to build a new house 2k - 2.5k sq ft, Insulate it well , put up a double car garage and put a basement under it, and insulate it. Fill it with water , there is enough heat value in it to heat your house the entire winter. Summer season there is enough ice for the summer for cooling in no...

Re: 6 packs in parallel potential issues?

The only way I can think of is to use bridge rectifiers between the charger and each of the BMS to the battery packs .
They will will prevent any back feed to BMS to BMS
Use the 3 phase type , they are cheaper in the larger range needed, only use two of the three imput legs

Re: Which battery chemistry for extreme climates?

LTO batteries are the safest chemistry of the lithium series of batteries . I have squish them using a 12 ton press, overcharged to 5+ volts . shot them , arc welded with them(1/4 rod). The nastiest result was a pouch cell that looked like it was pregnant at @160 F at 5+ volts LTO doe not contain gr...

Re: 25R low lifespan?

Nickle has only 22% the conductivity of copper and with a tiny spot welds , it's like drinking water with a coffee stirrer . It is using a 24 gauge copper wire (copper equivalence ) with a 30% drop in voltage at 110 amps on the last connection in parallel . Cycle life is determined by how hard they ...
