Re: No-com error
What's going on in these two spots? It looks a little chewed up. Did that happen during disassembly?

It looks like you have enough clearance to increase the rotor by a couple of sizes.

Re: My econo-e-bike
You wanted to go with a square layout instead of hexagonal? I've done both for our two upright bikes, and the square one did shed heat better, with the gap for air between the cells and the bag zipper open somewhat. If you can pack another parallel row with the hexagonal design, then you'd be drawi...

Re: Are these capable of 40A charging rate??
There is a 20A charger that Im looking at but wanna make sure the lipos can handle 20A safely and easily Does it run on 220VAC ? I was having to reset the breaker in panel when charging at higher currents using a 110VAC supply, but the circuit was barely enough for the 1500W supply, so no issues in...

Re: My econo-e-bike
The 21700 cell holders arrived. Turns out, the 3 cell and 2 cell holders don't mate together, even though they look like they do; bummer. I had enough 2 cell holders to more or less model how many I can fit in my triangle. Looks like 20S5P will fit, but I may go with 18S5P instead, so I can add 8Ah ...

Re: State of the hackable motor
For example: right now I'm considering repurposing an old Novara hardtail I have to serve as a gravel/light-trail build. Luna's upgraded BBS02 looks nice, but so does the open-firmware TSDZ2 from eco-ebike.com. Does anyone have (or have used) both and can provide constructive comparisons? Obviously...

Re: Connecting an LCD display.
Well before I buy a new controller, can anyone tell me why I am going so slow? As I said before my battery is a 52v 10ah 20 amp battery, 500w front hub motor, and no pas sensor. I have attached a photo of the controller. Is it my battery? Do you have a link to the motor or kit? The voltage and moto...

Re: Battery sudden death - Samsung 36V
This is a front-hub kit I purchased from Dillenger - I love the kit. Yesterday, after a 35 mile ride, I plugged the battery in to charge, the 'charge' light on the battery charger stayed green - (should have turned red). In checking the battery out - The 30A fuse appears to be fine (are there more ...

Re: My econo-e-bike
Yes indeed, linked here since it seems I forgot to include this on page 1 of my build thread. Was $23 and had black colors as well, but is out of stock now of course. It's kinda flimsy and we've broken a couple from bikes falling over, but generally gets the job done. Here's another one that looks ...

Re: What ebike controller is this?
According to the specs on the bike, it's a: "5 Shifts intelligent IC control system"
I noticed that if you search on that, there are a bunch of AliExpress ebikes that use that controller.- May 11 2022 3:52pm

Re: Trying to upgrade the controller on my volt bike mariner

The usb cable to program it see...

Re: How to get full power from a dead stop using Sabvoton 96120 controller
I would like to have full power from a dead stop so I can pull out into fast traffic without getting hit. Please help! You probably want to stop just short of wheelies since flipping over backwards when pulling out into traffic is probably the worst case scenario. Also, if you increase the throttle...

Re: Connecting an LCD display.
Hello to All, I am sure you get this question a lot. I have looked but cannot find my specific controller to work from. I bought a DIY kit from Walmart. It's a front hub 500w version that did not have an LCD display included. My question is how would I connect such a display as I wish to try and ch...

Re: pedal assist drops out on ezee motor with cycle analyst
If you're willing to experiment, and since you have an extra disk, you could try popping out every other magnet, and see if it takes 4 revolutions instead of 2. That might help let you know if there's a sensor issue, or something with the CA.

Re: My econo-e-bike
I've seen you refer to a twist throttle. Which side is it installed on? During my second, most recent build, for a friend, I installed a twist throttle on the right side (for my first build I never bothered connecting a throttle), simulating a motorcycle. Problem we found is you use the right lever...

Re: Motor noises when using KT Controller
An interesting fact is, that there are no noises if I lift the wheel up from the ground and accelerate. So the noise only occurs under load. Do you have a way to see what power the motor is consuming when the wheel is off the ground and you're at full throttle? If it's something under 100W (~50 or ...

Re: Can Bafang hub motors be modified?
I have a Bafang motor on one of my bikes and I'm looking at one of their hub motors for the other. Does anyone know if these can be modified in terms of speed assist, etc, like the mid drive Bafang motors can be? I can't find any info about this online. Neither motor can be modified to change perfo...

Re: Wiring one power switch to two controllers
Yes, I'm talking about the controllers' power switch. What else could that connector be haha! The problem is that neither of the power switch on the controllers is a ground, which confuses me. The on/off requires battery level voltage to be applied the signal wire, so no ground involved. If both co...
