Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I advice you to read all the wiki: Already done. :thumb: :D Unless someone says that there is some critical info in pages 65-120, I think I'm gonna skip those. Since this post doesn't either ask a question or really contribute anything, here's a pic of the temporary bike where my TSDZ2 got it's sha...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

OK, I was working my way through the entire thread, but it is slow going - I'm currently on about page 65. (for reference, User casainho just introduced himself and started posting a couple of pages ago.) This thread is currently on page 164. That is a lot (99 in fact, I can math!) of pages left to ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Does anyone make an offset chainring with higher tooth count, ideally 52t?

(pictured chainring is 42t)

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

In case anyone is wondering: I found why my tsdz2 is so noisy: it's the bearings before an after the blue gear. Does someone know a quality replacement for them ? 99% chance they are standard size bearings. If you have an industrial supply place nearby (Grainger, McMaster, Fastenall, etc) just take...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

The discharge "trace" is defined by voltage and capacity. If you parallel the cells as suggested the end capacity will be much better matched (9.6 & 10.?). So the slope of the trace will be very different. Try it and report back .! Now I understand your comment, and yes that makes sense. I have the...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Whilst that discharge test is informative, it is not a true comparason of performance due to the different capacity of the cells . It would be better to repeat the test with 3P, GAs and 2P 48Gs,....if that is the intended options. I'm not sure I understand your comment? At about 21A draw, 3P GA wil...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

... 14s2p is not enough and 14s3p would be way too heavy unless there are some better cells out there than the GA's ? ... Indeed there are, but it seems few people are yet willing to look outside the 18650 box, which I find surprising. I'm building my battery pack with 21700 cells. 21700s are sligh...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

If I'm going to get into the game of flashing firmwares, I guess I "should" do the "upgrade" to 52v (from 48v current). I'm currently building my own battery and it is incomplete, so the only loss I would take would be the price of a couple 13s BMS modules I already purchased. Is there any NEGATIVE ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Ahhhh... That makes sense.

In that case I think I DID successfully entered the Power Setting mode, but I THOUGHT I had accidentally re-entered the wheel size mode.

I'll see what options I have for Power Setting values this evening.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

... VLCD-6 on one of my bikes ... power was limited to 300w /cj ... I've had luck adjusting the speed limit and circumference on the VLCD-6, but not the power ... Does anyone have any tips for adjusting power on that display? After my post yesterday and receiving help from this thread, I was able t...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

If you'd like the VLCD6 to display mph, simply take the circumference values listed in the manual and multiply them by 0.62 . If you want to set the speed limit to 45km/h hold down the power and + button for 10 seconds. Clever idea to get mph mossboss ! I can't believe I didn't think of that! Has t...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

endlesscadence has asked me to write down some kind of "how to go about it". He meant to go over it and post it on the wiki, but i am afraid he is no longer active. at least i have not see him post here for 2 weeks or so. So therefore i am attaching what i have so far, there may be some mistakes in...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Here is the only documentation I have found on the VLCD6. Cute little display but doesn't do miles. You can toggle the speed limit between 25kp/h and 45kp/h. You can also use a smaller wheel diameter to trick the speed limit into reading lower but then the kp/h reading is wrong. If you want to try ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

The biggest difference was power. When I switched from a VLCD-5 to a VLCD-6 on one of my bikes ( 48V, 750watt ) power was limited to 300w and speed was limited to 25kph . Changing the data memory ( as outlined by Eyebyesicle ) had no effect. Changing to the 52v ( "stock" ) firmware ( as supplied by...
