Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*
I'm up to 55miles and still some charge left, I estimate 70 mile range. If you can stretch the battery with some of your own fitness, then it will last 4 years rather than 2 (if you charge twice a day). You're commute looks very flat, so it might be worth you programming your controller to get the m...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
My FAT1000 was shipped on Friday. Anyone have had their bike shipped to Europe? Any estimates? Had an HT1000 in July, shipping by train is supposed to include duty etc. Mine arrived to my door around 4 weeks with no hassle or duty/VAT. Extreme packaging. WIll take you a while, but good. Maybe got l...

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*
I got a Wolftooth 50t off ebay for a bargain, which is good, because it doesn't fit the HT1000 by a hairs breath, the odd wide tooth with muck on it gently brushes the chainstay. Used a spacer on BBS02 but that is no good either. After removing bafang lockring and inner chainwheel, the ultra has a ...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
That'll be a no by a hairs breath. The Wolftooth 50t lightly brushes the frame, only a couple of wide teeth that have muck on them, but the margin is too small, the gap is basically zero, unmeasurable. 48T is going to be max on the Frey HT1000. Already ordered but pricey in the UK. I also took off ...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
I have a Frey HT1000 and estimated clearance for a 50t is <1mm from the frame. Is it close on the AM1000 or is the chainstay very different on these models? i have a Frey AM1000 v3. with bashguard clearance with a 50t is also a problem. Frey HT1000 might also have the bashguard !? but: i am prepari...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
Mine came with a 44T steel chainring, I swapped to a 50T Wolftooth narrow-wide (7075AL). Excellent so far... My stock chain also didn't have a very long life (1500km I tossed it at 0.75 wear), SRAM XX1 on currently, and Connex 11SX on deck for next swap. Box 11-46T casette. Currently at 3000km and ...

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*
My bike arrived safely and am loving it ,just at higher speeds not much input from cycling want to fit larger front chainring anyone know what's the largest that will fit or can I get offset any ideas Map Paddy, I did a bunch of eyeballing and some haphazard measuring and then ordered a Stone 48T n...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
Ignore my torque settings, these are set to mimic cadence only just like the BBS range, can't do torque assist with my lung condition. Works like a charm, but not on the DPC-18 V3 display Rest looks similar and certainly nothing to justify the lack of throttle without an active speed sensor. Hardwar...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
The throttle should work from standstill I have a recent Frey HT1000 with the Ultra and my throttle doesn't work unless its moving either (don't have to be pedalling, just registering a speed). Checked all the settings using the config application from the PC against my BBS02 settings (apart from t...

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*
ECO/SPORT on the DPC-18 V3 appear to have no effect on non-torque motors, it's fixed five levels equated to my levels 1,3,5,7,9 settings on the BBS02 controller, so it's just the torque page settings this display over-rides in eco/sport on the newer Bafang motors. Maybe I'm being to hard on them, th...

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*
Well, I have to conclude the DPC-18 display V3.0 is a lock down device. Some of the ECO/SPORT modes appear to override some of the controller assist and torque settings if you are used to programming the controller with the app, this is not good news. However, tried the 500C display and while I'm no...

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*
Anyone know if the 750c or other displays work on the ULTRA/G510/M620 ??
I like the 500c and pleased to know this works, but a little disappointed with the plus/minus buttons, just not enough feel or movement, I'm always moving levels and find that I haven't.

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*
Seem to have a torque page settings which mimic 'no torque' i.e. cadence assist like BBSxx motors, which suits me and my pathetic lungs. Need longer test ride to confirm. Also upped the "Time to Stop" and "Stop Decay" on the pedal assist page as I now have brake cutoffs, although...

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*
Had the software all along, cannot get smooth no torque settings yet, but sure I will get there. It's long winded unplugging the green cable plugging in the USB, trying a few config settings in the app, plugging back in, test ride, doesn't work, repeat!! A little disappointed with Frey appearing to ...

The slow train from China is finally here. No charges at all, just delivered to the door, extreme packaging which is good and unmarked. Yet to test, but cannot find the config software (with the torque settings page) anywhere, lots of broken links and rubbish. Anyone got a direct link? BikeSmall.jpg

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*
I have my HT1000 due in the UK soon, coming by train overland from China to the UK (15 days approx). Similar specs but didn't upgrade the brakes. The pic they sent appears to be 42T front not 40t as in the ad. No matter, I was thinking of upgrading to 46t anyway would match my current (and suitably ...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
I've taken the plunge and ordered a Frey HT1000 for the UK. I have lung issues and am used to cadence only sensors and reprogramming my current BBS02, so I need to figure out how to basically turn off the torque page or set all levels to a minimum so it feels like it's cadence only. Haven't seen a f...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
They are either the older max drive (250/350w) or the 1000w that Frey use. Still no sign of the new 500w M600 in a hardtail. [/quote I think you might have an issue in finding the real thing... please look carefully this is the new Bafang Drive.. M600 https://flx.bike/collections/bikes/products/tra...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
Slightly off topic, but I am thinking of buying an HT1000 from Frey for the UK. Anyone imported an AM1000 to the UK yet, I was wondering about duty/VAT and the addition of Anti Dumping Duty (initiated in the EU by the German overpriced motors and their lobbyists) Was also curious from Frey if there...
