Normal? :?:
My HT1000 makes a scary clacky noise when being pushed backwards too. I can't say if it's exactly the same but it sounds like it is. I've been assuming it's normal.

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*

I'm curious about which groupset you went with for your bike and the cassette ratio you're using? Hi Richard! Thanks for starting this thread and sharing all the details and photos! I went with the Shimano XT M8000 groupset. The rear cassette they provided is the 11-48 11spd, so you could probably ...

Yes, we paid extra, but it was reasonable and we also got 2 21AH 48V batts because all our bikes take the same format.
Hi garyal1,

How did you make the batteries fit between the bikes? EDIT: looks like the discharge port on the bike is smaller for the FLX. did you swap that out?

My bike arrived safely and am loving it ,just at higher speeds not much input from cycling want to fit larger front chainring anyone know what's the largest that will fit or can I get offset any ideas Map Paddy, I did a bunch of eyeballing and some haphazard measuring and then ordered a Stone 48T n...

I hope you are not correct about them being too busy counting their loot! That would be a huge mistake for them Oh, sorry. I meant more that they're so busy making sales and helping other customers that they haven't gotten back to me. I imagine there's some growing pains. Entropic wrote: Fin...

Re: FLX BLADE

Instead, I will mount the Phase runner under the cover and install a 60 volt 28 AH triangle battery into the bike with a 50amp BMS. At 60 volts this will give me a 3000 watt Bafang ultra. I will post more when I get more parts in. The Rolhoff rear wheel in boost 148mm rear is taking a while... That...

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*

Wow, I like this version of the bike very much. How are the experiences of those that have one? Btw. I am 1.83 cm with relatively "short" legs. What frame size should I be looking for? I'm loving mine. There's some things I wish were a little different, but they're pretty minor. Very happy with the...

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*

I'm not really concerned with stuff like replacing brake rotors, replacing derailleur hangers, etc... My concern is more like if I get a bent frame, if I discover some parts are fatally flawed and need a redesign, that they will actually try to fix the problem. If that means sending a new frame and...

Re: The Frey HT1000 - And yes, HT stands for Hardtail! *updated*

Curious to know how so. I find that a lot of these 750W+ torque sensing ebikes are basically at a bleeding edge and end users end up being beta testers so post-sale support is important to me. Still conflicted on whether I should go with a hardtail or find some way to get a rear rack on the AM1000....

Re: FLX BLADE

I am hoping there will be enough demand so that someone starts offering a well-built 52 volt 17+ AH version in this case format. Upon receipt I did upgrade to the Thudbuster LT suspension seat post and Cloud 9 plush seat along with a bag for the rear rack that came with the touring kit. Another upg...

The bike seems huge for a medium. I had hoped that it could fit my 5'4" wife but she can only stand over it in tippy toes. The goal was for each of us to have an e-bike, as similar as possible for maintenance purposes; I wish a Small or Xtra-Small was available. Well, we figured out why the bike se...

Got our HT1000 last Thursday. The order was processed late but everything after that went quite quickly. It was in customs for about a week and only took 2 weeks after that to reach our residence via the "DDP" shipping option. It came via FedEx. It was packed quite well, but the derailleur hanger wa...

Watt Wagons Gulnaar - Another Bafang Ultra bike

Wanted to mention that I ordered my HT1000 around Christmas. Not sure if it will get out before Chinese New Year but crossing my fingers. It's difficult to manage the ~2 month wait!

Should be able to answer questions once it arrives.

Re: First E-Bike Build: Surly Karate Monkey, BMC, LiPo, IGH

I know it's bad form to resurrect an old thread, but I must say that a bike like this is eerily similar to what I'd build today for a similar use. I've kinda convinced myself to go mid-drive, and a Bafang Ultra at that, and I'm lamenting that there's so few options that have steel frame, disc brakes...

Still no 27.5+ bike, the HT1000 won't take a 27.5+ wheel, and it doesn't sound like one that will is being made. Months of waiting for nothing. . . Richard, Ivy confirmed that max tire size for the HT1000 is 27.5x2.8-3.0. I'm naive to the rest of the 27.5+ standard but I'm excited about 27.5x2.8 en...
