QS is afaik a marketing alliance composed of many independent manufacturers.
Perhaps there are multiple operators of their various sales channels, independent as well.

Key is the cross-section dimensions you have available for the batt pack as a whole.
An 8*6" tall block 20+ inches long would not fit many designs.
Much as I hate fussing with the small cylindricals, they do give a lot of layout flexibility

Re: The Cycle Satiator, universal charger for the enthusiasts
I'm wondering if maybe there could be issues with them running off ~240V? ... My AC also often peaks at 250V+ due to too many people in my area with solar (whole other issue that one!), so I wonder if the Satiator can't handle the higher voltage AC input? Spec sheet states: 100-240V AC Input Range ...

Re: Which BMS does EM3ev use?
Depends on amps needed Satiator model #4808 "24V-52V" has an output range of 24-63V (manual states 12-63V) But only provides 7-8A An adjustable HVC can help keep costs down a lot, can get away with dumb PSU rather than a proper self-terminating charger. Telecom PSUs are around 48V just rev...

Great data point thanks. LLT Power is a JBD subsidiary SMART BMS thread. Is there a guide on how to wire em up in that thread? That's a lot of words, and some pretty convoluted. I never saw anyone here state that infinite support should be free, in fact very much the opposite. What we need is CERTAINTY that the conditions (and pricing if any) of getting that support will not change after you have our money. That a deal made...

Re: Cycle life tests of High Energy density cylindrical cells
There are lots of factors affecting longevity. Yes LI should only get charged to high SoC just before loads will be pulling it back down, stored in the 40-60% band when not cycled. Not charged too high in the first place, average DoD is a critical one. Not discharged too fast. Not fast charged in co...

Re: Cycle life tests of High Energy density cylindrical cells
Normal usage by users who care about longevity also never goes near 100% DoD, that is murderous practice. If your LVC stop-discharge is calibrated to say 3.4V isolated at rest, I bet that is **way** above 90% DoD Just a 5% higher average DoD can double or triple lifespan. But that factor must vary w...

If Far Driver is serious about selling to DIYers these questions will hopefully get nailed down, the worst is uncertainty
