Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

After almost 9 months of riding and no flats I ran 3 in three weeks, all of them due to that the valve got damage. So the I installed a rim lock and now I can run without flats again, the parts doesn't cost that much so it's highly recommended.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

speed throttle doesnt change anything in power. its just (for now) that speed puts all trq in from the first 1/3 of throttle. Yes i like this because the other modes feels a litlle stange/late response on the throttle. in torque+speed i peakt 7+Kw and in speed i peakt 8.5Kw....in speed mode you can...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Missing part I'm missing the nut that holds the front wheel, do you think that this is something that I can get from my local bike shop or is it Sur Ron original that is required? Tried to upload picture but I'm lacking the skill. Which model of forks do you have? RST FaceAce, etc... If you are loo...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

offroader, on stock gearing i said that too. still stock (no X) but front lifts easy with 58T. Sure, lack of Midrange Power and only 58kph Top Speed but Offroad its ok. if that throttle on the stock controller wouldnt suck on smoothness i could wheelie it also. I run the 58 tooth, ride mostly off-r...

The battery was pain in the ass to build, really tight when all the cables needs to be tucked in on top of the case.
What was the build cost?

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

To build a own battery pack would cells from a Tesla module be a option? Came across a module from a P85 for 700 euros which I could use to build 2 packs in the end.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

The idea is to jump it and ride it hard, at least not end up with a bike that cannot take a beating. I would get it at half price, taken in account that I might need to replace the spring for a higher weight. The shock has been sitting on a Specialized Demo 8.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

That's correct they are self-threading, I use the cordless power drill just to screw them in (missing the English term). The ones I have I have not seen online, bought them in a local shop but are similar to the ones in the link. I changed my tires since I'm pretty sure the thread is to long and wil...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

The tire is Razorback Feral 70/100 -19 and I mounted the studs myself. Really easy it just takes time but with a power drill it goes pretty fast.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

So, after basically reading all posts in this thread (which has been very helpful in deciding to buy or not) I submit my first reply. I got my bike in October and I have done a couple of charges on it. I got the fully legal EU model for later registration (have removed all lights for now) to ride on...
