A request to people who have had CYC Motor for a long time or have more experience. Could you share your CODE SETTINGS by adding them to this thread? The next people could add something from themselves and together we will create better settings. I know we have different drives and different batter...

Re: Battery Clearing House
A few weeks ago, I bout a 100+ SPIM08HP from them. They came in two boxes with no bubble wrap and no protective shipping measures besides the 2 boxes they came in. I literally spent hours and hours trying to straighten the terminals out (click link below to see a video and some pictures that I prov...

A few weeks ago, I bout a 100+ SPIM08HP from them. Never buying from them again. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1E7bgGbxKzkBvIHm7e5A7g1guDpsVqqsP?usp=sharing I'm going to buy the 70 pack of SPIM08HP when it comes back in stock. For $2/cell as long as most of the cells are still around 0.8mo...

Re: Building A Ludicrous 14s2p SPIM08hp battery
I've been pretty busy with college for the past couple days and have finally finished categorizing my battery pack. I will be using 32 cells to make a (mostly) 2S14P pack, with 3 cells on 4 of the parallel groups because they have weaker cells. According to my measurements and calculations, the fin...

@thetailwind: I purchased mine just before the holiday's and it took ~1week to get to me. Let me tell you, this thing is awesome!!! I will never go back to soldering cells again. I purchased the lead acid and lipo versions connectors, but currently use it with a Optima Blue Top (D34) 12v battery an...

Re: Regen current through BMS
The first thing to ask is: When you are regen braking and the battery is full, does the braking action cut off at all? If not, then for whatever reason the BMS is definitely not cutting off (whether it "should" or not might be another story, depending on design/hookup). As for whether it ...

Re: Controller shunt mods
how come when the bike accelerates from a stop it draws peak 40a but when you accelerate from say 15 mph it draws less? Is it because the phase current is lower than the battery current?

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?
Anyone know how to fix the throttle? I have the stock non bluetooth 40a controller and the throttle response is terrible because it's speed controlled not current controlled. Do I need a new throttle or is there another solution? It's manageable on road but not for steeper technical trails. If you ...

Re: Phase current VS Battery current...
if input power (battery to ESC) is equal to the output power (ESC to motor), and the Phase Current=Wattage/(%PWM * Voltage), then wouldn't the phase current have to be infinite when the speed (%PWM) is 0?

get a current sensing speed controller. It's most likely not the throttle. The stock cyclone controller is speed controlled and has terrible throttle response

Re: GNG X1-pro 3000w
better to have somebody with a lathe. The axle and the thread have about 0,2 mm difference, which gets bigger and bigger with every acceleration. A thread is never that strong than a even metal. There are plenty of adapter for the BBSHD, you can use them. But the motor will be pressed to the adapte...

damn you guys r awesome! (this was my first post on endless sphere) @ossivirt-our high school won the competition last year (it's called Solar Cup) using 2 lead acids wired in series and a crappy brushed motor. They were pulling under 200 watts from it. I joined the team this year and convinced them...

Re: Another Stealth bomber (clone) build
I just got the qs205 with a sabvoton 72100 controller, cycle analyst, and throttle. Total came out to be around 900 delivered. The batteries were ordered on 11/11 (120 liitokala 26650s for $360) We're using the motor on an electric boat for a high school competition. I'm thinking about mounting a ge...
