Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
Can anybody tell me the head tube angle of a stock Sur Ron? I have searched for it but not been able to find the spec...if it is listed somewhere a reference sure would be appreciated as well. Thanks 63.5 degrees. I checked it because I ordered a 21 inch wheel and want to see what the difference is...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
The Maxxis IT is a very wide tire for a 70-100 and it would still clear at the narrowest part of the fork near the bridge by about 3/8" on each side.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
The DVO also has about a half inch clearance on each side of the tire. I couldn't even force the 100/70 maxxis tire in the RST fork.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
I recently installed the new DVO Onyx fork on my bike. A 21 inch wheel will easily fit. I have a brand new Maxxis IT tire up front that has a taller profile and knobs than the stock one and there's still two and a half inches of clearance to the fork brace.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
I agree, I've looked into rimlocks but they are all too big.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
I am also running M403's on both my Light Bees (with x controllers). After every 20 miles + trail rides, all four valve stems look like they are ready to rip off. I have been letting the air out, straighten them up and do it all over again. Tried running as high as 15 pounds and it didn't help (also...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
My two bikes are the standard version. I bought the X controllers and installed them myself. The bikes have substantially more power than when they were stock. Not sure about the bikes that come with the x controller. If I had it to do over again, I would still buy the stock bikes and put the x cont...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike
I weigh about 185 pounds. My rst Fork has about 20% of sag when I sit on it. Right in the ballpark. If I weighed less than 150 lbs I would probably want lighter springs. If I weighed over 200 I would probably want a heavier spring. The compression and rebound clickers offer lots of adjustment. Small...
