Re: XPD: open-source keywin e-bike lab replacement
I installed xpd, that is the 3 programs (as specified) and it worked well Would you mind telling us the ( current ) version used, and source for the installation, to amend your post? I followed the instructions ? this post ? , I don't remember well and I didn't fully understand what you're looking ...

Re: XPD: open-source keywin e-bike lab replacement
Thanks for your contribution, today I installed xpd, that is the 3 programs (as specified) and it worked well with window 10. I put the defaut on the 2, 100%, and the 3 position switch on the 2. my 2018 cable usb already had the bridge, (EB3 12 FET cellman). I've made some adjustments, nothing else...

Re: Why are geared motors worse than direct drive for climbing hills?
Yes, Mac8T, I certainly don't have miles of climbs, but with 2000W (peak) it goes over 35km/h, I have fun, I had to lower the amps, it was too powerful.

is that right, do you think? is it the same with the usual e-bike batteries? (car) Lithium-ion battery degradation over time Temperature 40% charge 100% charge 0 °C (32 °F) 40% charge: 2% loss after 1 year 100% charge: 6% loss after 1 year 25 °C (77 °F) 40% charge: 4% loss after 1 year 100% charge:...

Re: Why are geared motors worse than direct drive for climbing hills?
Good answers already. Logic. To make it practical. If you need to climb steep and fast, the DD hub is a must. Steep and slow, you are better with a mid drive. Geared motors really don’t like being overloaded. No steep climbing for them. But, when you don’t need to climb steep and can help with some...

Re: Tell me about MAC 3 speed and cruise button
I get along well even on steep roads, depending on how fast you speed up, and how you use and program the 3 buttons. with cruiser all right. Then about the 30ah, decreasing the continuous Ah you have less power, or using the software firmware xpd you can lower the 30Ah peak (phase). I have 8T on whe...

Re: a speed electric bike, looking something with a big battery
Not always a fast bike costs a lot (I'm light), with a full folding (2011), and from 2012 45-50km/h, also battery (from 2012) 14kg.
(I had to learn and do things myself).

Re: a speed electric bike, looking something with a big battery
I quote the recommended calculations above.
I have 1500W battery and I do maximum 60km, you have to calculate even a 20% unused (1500W= 1300W).
I recommend placing the battery under the center forward.

Re: 48v 13s4p 18650 showing 0v for 12th cell group
I'd load the 12 individually a few seconds or minutes to see what it does.
if that's all you got, maybe a 5v mobile phone charger. Careful not to exceed 4.2v.
So you can see that the bms isn't faulty.
load in a safe place to avoid fire.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe next time reduce the levels of sarcasm. Not all people find that acceptable. Helping minus the sarcasm would be great and be a much more positive step towards people's communication with you. I have found better help on this subject from other forums with more professio...

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]
Interesting, but what about me?
How is the FW (120% for 55km/h) with 6f, on Mac T8, in wheel 22, 16s Lfp?
(Battery is ok, me and the bike are light, now 45km/h).
Efficient enough?
No problem for the hub?

Re: Will higher amp controller help?
In my opinion: you should double or triple the parallel, then either fatten the shunt, or better yet buy a programmable controller (24-72v. 40ah).

If you have a balancer charger, while you load one you unload the other, (checking imput).

Re: LIFEPo4 cells, 21700 3000mah, recommendations?
The problem is, you are accepting numbers from marketing materials that are likely bogus. Reducing weight with **quality** cells - I assume longevity is important to you? means reducing either voltage or Ah range, if you stick to LFP. Otherwise go to the much higher density LI chemistries like NCA ...

Re: LIFEPo4 cells, 21700 3000mah, recommendations?
Tanks, I calculated that the 18650 1800mah to make 27ah have about the same weight. So the 3000mah are no longer light. p.s I have A123 26650 2500mah 16s 3p for the city, but for a big 27ah package I would like something lighter. To do about 27ah: 144 cells 21700 3000mah 68g) = 9792kg, 176 cells 266...

LIFEPo4 cells, 21700 3000mah, recommendations?
I'm looking at these cells: https://m.made-in-china.com/company-lithiumionbattery/ LIFEPo4 cells 21700 3000mah (68g.), to make a package from 48v 27Ah, and that would be about 10 kg. to go lighter than the bigger (26650 85g.). (cells of 18650 with 2,500-3000mah I can't find LIFEPo4). recommendations...
