Re: fitting a motorcycle fork onto a bike?

I have used Pit bike forks on a pair of my builds for the extra braking power and cause i am cheap. You should just go to the junk yard with some measuring tools and see what will work, i managed to get both forks for around $100 each including some shitty 21" wheels that i reused the hubs and spok...

Or the actual deal / vendor?

The latter is just as important as the former
On one of his youtube videos in the description he linked the cells where I got them from. So he linked the deal/vendor.

Re: HUGE VOLTAGE SAG LGHG2 HELP!!

i paid £1.64 per cell buying total of 45 coming up to £75 for the pack. So, from IMR battery that would cost about £230. When prices are lower by such large amounts, you should be suspicious. Sure, sometimes there are excellent deals. But you have to look carefully and make sure that the reason for...

Yep. A quick google search shows lots of reports of fake cells from LiitoKala Official Flagship Store. What did you pay for your cells and what is the standard price from known reputable sources? 1GcDK0bLLyA 6hYlhmtKEuY i paid £1.64 per cell buying total of 45 coming up to £75 for the pack.

Re: HUGE VOLTAGE SAG LGHG2 HELP!!

On of my controllers where faulty the controller the shunt was overheating and eventually exploaded. I now some what know why it was sagging so much also i was using yellow brick connectors for motor connections but recently switched to 5mm bullets. I doubled up the series connections with 8awg. the...

Re: "Hot rod" ebike on the cheap

Cheap hot rod bike does exist. Cheap 500w rated hub motor, the kind in the 48v 1000w kit. Then RC lipo for batteries. 72v 40 amps controller, and viola, a 40 mph bike. can cost about a thou, depending on what you spend on chargers. Your plan sounds cheap, and fun to build. But the lead will make it...

Re: 10v of sag on 72v 18650's

my bike had 15s3p from lg hg2 cells and they where sagging 12-15v on 45a i thought the cells where fake. But where i soldered the battery cables it was just sitting on a lump of 63/37 which was all i had left (this solder is the worse and i later bought 60/40 quality solder and soldered everything p...

Re: Rear aluminum dropouts bent

what i am currently doing is i hammered the droupouts and bent them back ( this wont fix the problem and will go back to being bent) Actually, if they're aluminum, they'll probably jsut break off. Depends how far they were pushed, type of alloy, heat treatments, etc. If they're steel, they'll bend ...

Re: Adjustable controller?

CA will do that. Keep in mind that the Amp rating is the maximum that the controller can handle without frying. If you motor for example pulls 90 Amps max it doesn't matter if the controller can survive 120A, the system will not pull more than 90A. Avner. whatever the peak controller current is tha...

Re: Max Amp and Watts on 12 gages 4 feet

Wire heating doesn't depend on voltage whatsoever, the losses are (current^2 * resistance). The higher voltage battery you run, the more watts any given wire can carry. I'd personally go with XT60 connectors for currents above 40 amps, they'll do 10 gauge (with a good soldering iron and trimming ba...

hi there, first of all the motor is brushless and the controller is brushed so they wouldnt work. I would just say you get a cheap £140 1000w kit from ebay they have helped me elarn alot about ebikes. 1000w 12 or 15 fet controllers are the controllers you want to get they are basic and help you lear...

Re: Increasing controller power to my 1000W DD hub motor

I have some generic "48v" 15FET controller that was "rated" for around 30A, got peaks of around 33-35A ish. It had two shunts in it. I added a third shunt (from some random dead controller) in parallel with the first two , and that upped it's limit to around 80A. I have no idea what the original sh...

Re: MXUS 250w how to increase the speed

Just increase the voltage to 48V, because your controller most likely has 60V caps. JUST? The only two rational ways to increase speed would be either to buy a Controller that can do flux weakening (Overspeed if you look on Aliexpress) or buy a 48V Battery/Controler combo to increase the speed that...

Re: Increasing controller power to my 1000W DD hub motor

So I think I've got almost the same controller as you. It's a 12 Fet but it actually looks smaller than yours... Few things I'll note. 12 Fet should be fine. Im routinely pulling 2200w from mine with a shunt mod and that's it...no problems whatsoever. I changed out every cable in the controller. 10...
