Re: 'Plug and Play' Life Cycle Testers

So just wanted to check if there are many options for such a thing, I have come across the EBC-A20 and this very thorough review on BudgetLightForum: http://budgetlightforum.com/node/56801 But other than that there doesn't seem to be anything, I can see a few of the chargers/dischargers from the RC...

Re: bluetooth BMS?

No, I meant the ability to just plug the BMS in and out as desired, could use the same plug(s) for balance chargers, non-protective balancer gear, per-cell / group capacity testing etc. So when time to put the pack away for storage, put it at say 60% SoC, disconnect the whole BMS and leave it maybe...

Re: bluetooth BMS?

for long time storage, maybe put a large ring terminal (screw connector?) between bms and battery Could you link to ones you think would be suitable? I was thinking just waterproof multi-pin connectors like TE Deutsch After i wrote that Wall of text below, I realize this is very off-topic from the ...

Re: bluetooth BMS?

... I have activated the BMS by momentarily applying 4V to the two wires on the left ... Thanks for the info but unfortunately mine is a different board than that. The one you linked has a mini-momentary switch with it. I received an official reply from the seller on Ali-express (IC GOGOGO Store): ...

Hello all, I have the 7S-16S 320A version of this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33014476298.html?spm=a2g0s.12269583.0.0.651f3a5cxEIxvi Does anyone know how to wire in an On/off button to shutdown the BMS? Re: KTY83/122

Well, I found out that I can't use a any temp display. Someone had experience mounting external temp display with some kty inside a motor? Also sabvoton is tied to KTY83/122. Installing different kty sensor temp will be off. Resistance at 25C should be 1010ohms typical. Assuming can't source the se...

Re: Sabvoton 72150 variable regen

TLDR : variable regen can only be set using a PC/laptop... The phone app does not have the option to select "e-brake throttle", it can only set the ebrake to be activated by a lever. Which is silly and confusing. :!: Beware! The app also defaults the setting to lever, so if you change anything about...

Re: Hall sensor problems, i guess

Hi all, so a few updates on my situation. Got a reply from the controller vendor today, apparently everything is normal and meant to be this way. I still don't like that the controller shell is "grounded" to B- , but they say it is intentional and so far I had no reason to distrust the QS company. I...

Re: Hall sensor problems, i guess

I know this seems a bit mad but from what I remember I got the self test to work by changing the wheel direction from 0 to 1 or vice versa for the test only. Also set the hall angle to about 140 degs. Jonno @Jonno: tried that today, got the same result as before. The wheel spins about 5 degrees to ...

Re: Hall sensor problems, i guess

Hi, thank you all for replying! @e-beach: I did both. First with the connector plugged. Than Amberwolf pointed out that it should be changing between the full supply voltage (5V) and zero. So then I measured only the controller side, with connector unpluged. And the photos are the result of that. So...

Re: Hall sensor problems, i guess

Thank you very much for replying, Amberwolf! (please forgive me is I don't use the correct terminology, english isn't even my 1st language) I dont know what kind of magic this is, but on the noname controller, the supply is actually lower than the Hall-lines (Hall-phases? colors?). Even though they ...

Re: Hall sensor problems, i guess

Hi, thanks very much for replying! Just measured the Halls again. The supply is nice and stable 5.01V But each Hall output reads 0.02V in one state and only 3.16V in the other - getting this change consistently on all three of them as I "cog" the wheel one way or the other. Is this normal behavior (...

Hall sensor problems, i guess

Hi guys, long-ish time lurker here. This is my first post, and already I need some help from the more experienced. Also sorry for the wall of text ahead... Problem: Hall sensor detection in my Sabvoton 72150 / MXUS 3k combo, I guess... A little background for those interested: this motor/controller ...
