Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Your motor might not work at all until you flash it with new firmware, as most of them will only start with a 48v battery. Default software on most will only startup the motor when battery voltage is below 55volts. 52v battery charges to 58.8volts. You can not change the power limit on the default ...

Genius! Hello all, I've been enjoying my TSDZ2 daily on my classic 90s steel 26" MTB for more than a year now, for daily commuting. It's a great motor. But a problem has slowly arised and now it's becoming frustrating. I hope somebody cand point what the origin could be. It's the 2018 350W 36V model...

Re: Frame Hole Drilling...

No, that won't be the ultimate test. That test is putting a few thousand or more miles on the frame. I go through steel Bianchi frames regularly. Just after 10k miles, the Volpe drive side chain stay breaks. I've done it 3 times. And for those whole would comment, yes I use a freehub, not a freewhe...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

So the motor can overcook even if it's not hot on touch? It probably is hot to the touch, but "how hot" isn't a good gauge if you are cooking your motor or not. The only gauge that can do that is a gauge directly mounted to the metal on the inside motor, thus why so many folks like the opensource m...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

My motor seems to have developed an issue. During a 30k ride mostly on turbo the motor was performing very well. I kept checking the motor temperature by hand and it barely warmed up. After about 30k, when I left from and standstill the motor made a grinding sound and the power cut. I disconnected ...

Any more ideas before I attempt the DoA process?
Have you tried the walk-assist mode to see if the motor will kick in at that point?

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi Guys, I am seeking a bit of help with my second build. I have a 48v TSDZ2 with VLCD5 (brand new from PSWPower via AliExpress). I have a 52v (14s2p battery, charged to 50.2v) I have connected everything using the standard wiring. I am planning to flash with 18.2 and I have the KT-LCD3 ready to go...

Re: Step-down Regulated Power Supply Module

You might want to see if your charger has any internal voltage adjustments. It might be something as simple as a single potentiometer for that. If you find one, you can first mark it's original position (take a pic, etc), and measure the output while altering it. If it does not do what you want, pu...

Step-down Regulated Power Supply Module

I didn't see this in the FAQ or topic search, so here goes. I saw a 1.8" LCD Color DPX / DPX6005 Buck Step-down Regulated Power Supply Module and thought it might let me charge my 52v 14s li ion battery pack with this in series with the output side of my 58.8v 2A charger. I want to stop the charging...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

My 48V TDSZ2 (2 years old) starts at 55.4 volts. May not if above that. I have a 52V battery and charge it to 80% to get 55.4V at the battery. Bad: I don't get to use the 55.4 to 58.4 capability of the battery. Good: it forces me to operate in the 50% to 80% of the battery capability. Battery will ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

As I understand wiki says there is only 2 different motor versions 36V and 48V. But seller (pswpower) specifically states "Supports up to 54.6V input voltage, can't work on 58.4V input voltage". Sorry, but just to be sure I can still buy 48V version and flash it to support 52V battery? Thanks. Not ...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

The later versions that marcoq is working on has a fix for the Backward Resistance that you mention. Myself and others have been testing it for a while, there should be a new release of the marcoq code soon. Good, it will be fine . I have version 3.3 of qmarcos software and confirm it works great a...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I just loaded qmarco's code on my TSDZ2 with my VLCD5. Only issue I had (which I might have missed in the documentation), was that after I hit "Program" on the TSDZ2-Configurator_Beta_v0.2.0.jar program, the first time I had to unplug the STLINK from the USB in order to let the write protection chan...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I don't think the torque sensor is that sensitive. If the weather ever breaks I'll get out and see how it behaves at a stop with no brakes and report back. As for cadence, the motor doesn't force anything. It has a freehub mech in it and you can pedal at any cadence you want. My 52v version assists...
