Re: KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW

Does it require openocd? openocd is only needed for debugging. regards stancecoke thanks, but from what I understood, you can also flash using openocd. Or am I wrong? Also where do I get the stm8 files I need as they are not in the official openocd directory. I found this openOCD clone (https://git...

Re: KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW

sorry for my newbie question. I just got my stlinkv2 and I would like to flash the firmware from MacOSX. openOCD seems to work, but I cannot find scripts for stm8, only stm32. Is this normal? Otherwise there seems to be stm8flash. I haven't tried it yet. Does it require openocd? Or is it standalone?...

I will,
thanks.
Is there actually a simulator/emulator with which I can do development and testing without flashing the thing each time?

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi all, I am new to this opensource firmware and I am very interested in the possibility to use it with a smartphone app. I've seen there is development in this direction with the SW102. But I was wondering if the required logic cannot be implemented directly in a smartphone app. Has anyone looked i...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

With my kit I received a speed sensor with a double connector but I won't be running any lights (for now). It didn't come with any dust caps for the connectors, was it supposed to or what are other people doing to keep water etc out? I don't want to silicone it up as I may use it in the future. I m...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

3. No. That will probably be possible with the SW102 Bluetooth LCD, where the log of variables are done on the mobile phone. Thanks what's the status of the SW102? I've seen a thread, but is there a version yet? Also, I had seen someone post a video of a bike controlled through a bluetooth mobile p...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

hi I just received the LCD3 and will flash soon. But I discovered that in the month between my order and the LCD3 being delivered, casainho prepared a version for the 850c. Too bad I did not know this, or I would have bought the latter. Anyway, I have a few questions: - are the features on the two d...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi all, I read in this thread that the motor shuts down when cadence exceeds 90rpms. Yet I am almost sure I have pedalled faster than that and the motor was still helping me. I am using the stock firmware. is the 90rpm limit a "feature" of the custom firmware?the I will test again, but in the meanti...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

hi all,
I am waiting for my LCD3 to arrive. But today i noticed something I had never paid attention to on my VLCD5.
When I turn it on and all the LCD segments light up, there is a "POWER" label that never shows up during usage. What is it for? is it for the TSDZ2? Is it for other motors?

thanks

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

hi,
I was wondering if there is any knowledge as to which models of STLinkV2 clones work, and which do not. I have had a look on ebay and I the cheapest sell for about 5-6E. So if I buy 3 I am almost at the price of an original STLinkV2.

In any case, the original should work, right?

thanks

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

How many cells? Have yet to find an accurate battery level indicator. I think 12 in series (36V) x 3 in parallel (15Ah each cell being 5). Why? Do you also have a pingbattery? The opensource firmware however tracks watt hours consumed which is far more accurate This is great news! I thought I had r...

Re: The snobby cyclist's noob guide to TSDZ2 & BBS02

hi all
I just discovered this thread and the reliability issues of TSDZ2 worry me a bit.
like jimmyfergus, I knew about blue gear and other things, but I had understood problems were repairable. Also, Tongsheng claimed they updated their motor when I emailed them last April. Can anyone confirm this?

If I take it off the motor goes through the BB fine. can anyone recommend a decent ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

The Open Source Firmware helps with the blue gear, because it has a 5A per second ramp up, so it is better in this case than the stock firmware. The blue gear will last a lot longer. Awesome! Thanks a lot! I am going to try the new firmware as soon as I get my hands on the required components. Actu...
