Re: BMC v2 wheel spinning free.
Are you sure your hall/phase wires combo is correct? There is one combo that will make the motor spin backwards and so it never engages the clutch. I had the same thing happen to me when re-wiring my BMC V2 motor from a BMC controller to a Crystallyte controller. Just kept trying different wire comb...

If the important thing was to just get you back home... then just cut the old tube off.wayover13 wrote: Btw, what's supposed to be done with the punctured tube the sidewinder replaces? Does it get tied up out of the way or something? Cut, pulled out and thrown away?

Yeah the 6 month mark is really to make sure your bones have mended and fused up solid enough. Your doctor can better tell you (after a couple of post-op xrays) how well your bones are mending and when it's safe for you to put heavier loads on them. Until then be careful and patient. Last thing you ...

Good to hear you're up and riding again Greg. You took a lot less time to get back on than I did after I broke my shoulder because I couldn't put any weight on it for the 1st 3 months.

You getting one Sacman?
Can't justify getting a HERO3 Black right now.
I still haven't outgrown the HERO2.

Eeeeew... fresh road kill. I love the view with the GoPro low and facing rear Greg. Awesome! BTW GoPro is about to release their new HERO3 action cam. They use the same mounting location (rear axle facing rear) on Ducati sport bikes on their new video promotion. Check it out. I also love the shot wi...

GoPro HERO3 - Coming soon
Looks like GoPro is releasing it's brand new HERO3 action camera and it looks awesome! Who's getting one of these? No word yet on when it's supposed to hit the retail stores but GoPro is already taking pre-orders. The $399.99 USD is a pretty hefty price but I guess some people will buy it because it...

Re: GCinDC's Giant DH Comp
You just took apart the covers and swapped sides right?... and not remove the bearings right? So the wobble is most likely from the side covers not seated properly to the center magnet ring. It would definitely be worth rotating the covers to see if the wobble can be minimized. And while you got the...

I think you've mentioned previously yours is only around 5 mi ? yep, 5 or 6, depending on which way i go... Only 6 miles... no wonder you're so hard on your motor and controllers. If you break down pedaling home is difficult but still doable. And no wonder you can get away with a relatively small b...

The USB/programming cable to your computer only lets you program NEW SETTING values. It doesn't let you read the existing settings. And your Lyen controller will only accept the new program settings if it's POWERED OFF. Sorry G, work blew up in my face. Im a little lost (whats new?) i thought i'd co...

I am wanting to fit some 2.35 big apples to my bike, someone I work with said make sure they fit the rim because they are really wide, will they fit my standard rim properly? The outside of the rim is just over 1'' wide (27mm) so without taking the tyre off I guess the inside is about 22mm, also I ...

Re: Schwalbe Big Apple 26"
I'd go for a hookworm on the yuba rear end. schwalbes can't handle big loads safely. wish they made them beefier. The Schwalabe Big Apples were made light and strong to roll fast on the street. The Hookworms were made as an alternative off-road freeride tire that doesn't have the knobbies. That's w...

You scrubbed the last $10 of rubber from that tire onto the pavement.
And I hope you were holding your breath thru most of that toxic smoke.

Why advertise the Falcon brand logo anyways? Rub it all out with some black shoe polish. bwa ha ha, does that actually work? i don't like having the logo there either. Yup ... works great! The shoe polish is mostly just black dye, oil, and wax. and it's the oil and wax that helps separate th...

Exactly, OP has 4qty 6S and 2qty 3S bricks. Most capacity for 15S is 10Ah and remember that is pushing it. I do series groups 1st and then just parallel whatever desire for capacity. 2P, 3P, 4P, 10-20Ah. Parallel 1st is ideal if dealing with all same bricks but that's obviously not the case here. N...

Re: Noob here with a legit question about disc brakes
Justin at ebikes.ca sells an Ahlonga low profile mechanical disc brake caliper for $30. It's supposed to be thin enough to fit fine between the front forks and a 9C hubmotor. Look in the Store - Parts - Brakes section. Also, you can remove 1mm or 2mm of material from your bike frame's disc caliper m...

Yeah I'd be very warry about the performace claims that High Power Cycles makes on the equipment the sell. IMHO it's a lot of fluffed up marketing that (in the past) they just haven't been able or willing to back up with hard, cold test data. Remember this video where they push a little over 2500W (...
