I like to watch torque numbers not speed not that speed is non important. Of late I have been thinking of my next build and looking for what would give me more torque than my current setup. 7T leafmotor in 26" wheel controlled by 40amp Infineon powered by 72V 24amp/hr battery https://www.ebikes.ca/t...

Re: Wind and Solar vs Coal, Gasoline, Nuclear

I used to look at renewables and EV's as a way of saving money. All of that has changed to saving the Planet. I try to do my part as I have more influence over myself than others. Lead by example, conservation first, don't believe people know how wasteful they are and how there life style is killing...

Re: High power ebike means none of the rules apply to me

Well it's not an E-bike issue, its a driver thing. There is a age to speed ratio, I am sure most have noticed. The younger you are the faster you go and as you age your speed gets slower. Two examples, Young example he's going to hurt someone, Old example, Wished he would drive it or park it.

I measured to the lip not to the bottom of spoke hole. 232mm is close (with in 3mm) some one else posted what he used and it was on the money. when I am sure will post it. It has been fall for weeks and the strange thing is no rain. We are in extreme drought in one of the wettest months. Another one for the record books seems like we are breaking records monthly now. Guess the new normal is nothing is the same.

What is comfortable for one person is not for others look at the Back Pain and Bikes. My trike is comfy and will do 30 mph but limit it to 43 km. Not every one uses mostly motor my watts/km varies from .9w-15w. Bet it all mostly depends on the roads and speed on what you ride. my mother of 79yrs rid...

Ozone in S.A. Tx is high, news stations ask that people don't put gasoline/petrol in cars to lower it. So you don't even need to burn this stuff for it to be bad just expose it to the atmosphere. Makes you want to go electric.

My Mother has started to have back problems riding her E-Trike. The trike is better than her 2 wheel she can not ride anymore. So I was thinking of replacing her bike seat with more of a chair like seat. Have the seat further back and lower. Any thoughts?

The CA3 needs a 10K NTC thermistor and I believe the one in the leafmotor is a 100k. anyone correct me if I am wrong.
If your motor is wired then open it up and replace the thermistor. That is what I plan to do with my 7T Rear leafmotor.
This was discussed somewhere I will look for it.

Don't know enough to recommend. I know that the leafmotor handles 2k well but above that you need to watch the tempter. I bought pair of leafmotors at the same time. One came with a sensor installed and the other did not. The one with the sensor will not work with the CA3 but at least the wire is in...
