Re: 9c kit and uphills

You can buy statorade from Amazon or Grin. 5ml per motor. Need to recheck after a time, my time is due its been 3yrs. You can drill a filler hole or open up the motor. Read up before drilling the hole don't want to get shavings from the drilling in the motor. As far as your motor, Just get a leafmot...

I bought some Grin motor wire and a L1019 connector with a pig tail. I will mesure it tomorrow to see the difference. I would never try to get the outer covering thru the axel.

Re: 9c kit and uphills

Most want to go fast with to little then kill the battery and overheat the motor and controller. You need to figure out what you need. and start from there. Speed is like cars how much can you afford. 40 mph is not bike speed. Most kits will do 30 but not to long. Its the wind your pushing, the fast...

Re: QS205 50H 6T?

Your days of over heating would be in the past. It's the width of the motor and no gears, the chain line would be terrible. I would need it geared for the road 45 kph. Would not joy ride on the trails with it. by markz » Sep 22 2021 12:51pm To much motor for me, and to answer the question I just hav...

Re: Considering getting an ebike instead of a car

Reminds me of the show Thomas Crown affair. Where he flips one for the splash. Back on topic. I play with the idea of a peddle car, not just a bike. Like the Peble. Would not be for joy riding but to get some where, Store or work. The price has put me off but being able to get out of the weather som...

Re: Ebike axle wiring

Have been thinking out loud. Not trying to talk anyone into anything. Need to run larger wires thru my axel first. Would not try to do a wire at a time. I would try to use a fish wire to pull with and stagger the wires enough so the thickness would ramp up. Doing it myself would teach me.

Re: QS205 50H 6T?

Now i'm wanting one, $185 + shipping. About the same price as a leafmotor. Never wanted a 3 or 4T. If I could keep my top speed 30 mph or lower at 72V would build a custom rear fork for it. Why is the idea that lower voltage and more amps are better. After finding that 10yr old thread i'm not so sur...

Re: QS205 50H 6T?

This is an interesting thread, worth reading. States higher voltage and higher T motor will lower heat in your phase wires. heating is current squared x resistance. If you have half the current and twice the resistance in a "slower wound" motor, at twice the voltage, then you are producing...

As far as I know (If i'm wrong correct me) Grin purchases their L1019 connector molded on the cable. So they are running the cable thru the Axel themselves. Not saying it's easy. Re: Intricancies of 2+ motors

You can read about all the bikes here with hub motors, they go bike speeds. As soon as you move up to motorcycles and much faster speeds they move the motor from the wheel to a mid mount. This transfers the unsprung weight to the chassis. There is the exceptions of the big hub motors but you need to...

Would find out home much power your allowed to pull thru the LCD and try to stick to that. Would think it's the LCD. Sometimes grounding is an issue. Make sure nothing is grounding to the frame. I'm at a loss if beyond that.
