Re: Looks like this is my next project: Razor RSF650

Latest mods: 14 tooth sprocket installed: better top end speed Freewheel has been welded. Tried out regen braking but it made the chain jump all over the place, made the motor warm up so I disabled it. Upgraded to Shimano BR-M375 Mechanical Disc Brake Caliper w/ 180mm disc brake rotor and sintered b...

Re: Looks like this is my next project: Razor RSF650

Thanks guys!!! Just the help I needed that pointed me in the right direction! The biggest disc available is 180mm because the bolt circle diameter (BCD) is 48mm. All the 203mm discs have a 44mm BCD. I could / might try to modify the rotor I have, but still the rotor/caliper combo might be too big fo...

Re: Looks like this is my next project: Razor RSF650

This thing is a blast to ride! Stock rigid fork has been ditched for the MX650 coil fork. The rigid stock fork was to harsh imo. - Had to weld a bracket onto the existing fork bracket and cut off part of the old one for proper relocation for the brake caliper. - MX650 160mm disc brake had to be used...

Re: Noob EEB Enduro Build

In addition to countersunk allen bolts, red loctite, and filing the dropout, use a zip tie around the wiring loom to the dropout/frame. Your last picture was extreme where you cut a major part out. I didnt have to do that, i tried to avoid that. I see you had no choice but you didnt know you didnt h...

Re: 1.60" or 1.85" wide rim for street?

I ended up getting 19 X 1.85" rims for both front and rear. Have has this setup for quite a while now. Was thinking of changing the front rim to a 19 X 1.4" because its lighter.

What difference will that 1 to 2 pounds lighter rim make?

Re: Zoom DH1100 fork

DNM USD-8s is cheap too. Same design = flex. I went with that fork, sold it and invested in a good quality built fork - a Fox 40. Mine is a street bike too and all I can say is the difference is like night and day. I also got a used Marzocchi 888 just to try out and it's plush!

Re: Zoom DH1100 fork

This is a very cheap ´DH’ fork. I’d say it is OK if you plan to ride the streets, but for mountain trails you’d be better with a used DH fork that has complete tuning options. A good used DH fork can be found for twice the cost of a new Zoom fork. Yeah, but do you know where they are being sold? Do...

Re: Hub drive torque limitations. Steep hills while towing a child?

From what I've read a mid drive is better for uphills. But to share: I do have a 1500w rear hub and a kid trailer similar to yours. I had a PhaseRunner sine wave controller and it had NO power going up hills. Even hills that weren't that steep. That costed $300 bucks. Then I recently bought a cheap ...

How do you think it would perform if it could hit 50mph?

Could you also post any pics of the other bike. I've always thought of doing something like the bike you just posted. Nice how you found a spot for the controller on such limited space.
