Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Does the axle need to be heat treated? Another thing that you might want to consider is make the crank connection to accommodate the spline style cranks.

Re: what's that sound?

[/quote Another thing that makes me worry: The supplied screws for the cranks are like butter. Normally those screws need to be screwed down pretty hard to prevent the cranks from wobbling. And I once had to add some more turn after a short ride and it stripped all threads from the screw. Now I'm a...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thanks Ilu; it's a sprung base mount for a Hamax Caress childseat. To describe exactly what I can feel: https://www.darkerside.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/IMG_20200510_1201042-scaled.jpg I can feel no lateral movement in the axle (ie nothing at all on the green axis). There's slight rock in the ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Working on the torque sensor I've never really found a way to stop the 3 small springs rattling about as you push the main axle into place, until the last time and then it sort of occurred to me there's a very easy way. On the sensor unit ( not the axle component ) there are 3 small spring guides t...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi Guys, Have any of you got an 860C without the word "intelligent" written along the bottom of the display? If so, can you tell me where you got it from, please? Thanks, Shaun. I got one a few weeks ago (bought 6+ weeks ago shipping) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000524762161.html?spm=a2g0s.904...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Four passes of aluminum can sidewall to make a shim? Aluminum can walls are around .1mm thick... just brainstorming here. I would try some metal air conditioning duct tape. Not the woven plastic coated stuff. It can be cut with scissors and is adhesive backed. Thanks guys, I took an aluminium can a...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I wired up my LCD3 and it registered variable ACD values. Thus, the torque sensor and motor controller are OK. I reflashed the motor with FW# 0.57, and #0. 57.2. Testing the P860C each time. Neither motor FW, fixed the issue. I can only assume that the issue is in the P850C. Prior to the torque sen...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Does anyone have any suggestions for this issue? So, your torque sensor is not working. I would start to see if the connector inside the TSDZ2 is ok... You can try see if the values are different with the connector on place and unconnected. Casainho. Thanks for the suggestion. I tested the torque s...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Calibrating torque sensor Cont. I reflashed both the display and the motor controller (P860). The bike registers both human and motor assist watts and it seems to ride OK. And the motor power varies with applied peddle force. This is a brand new motor that seemed to ride OK with the stock VLCD5. Ca...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

TSDZ2 at 5475 RPMs / cadence of 135 RPM I am developing a version of our firmware to run the motor at high cadence without sacrificing the system efficiency. I am increasing the PWM frequency and it seems to be working on very early tests and I would like to know what is the desired max cadence in ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I don't understand why one has to put specific weights on the peddles if the ACD values don't change when I change the weight or put the different weights on the peddle. They change!! The ADC values for torque sensor change for different weights!! I understand that they should change. However when ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Torque sensor calibration? I just got a P860C flashed and configured (0.8.0 V). I am trying to do the calibration of the torque sensor and I am confused. I have ridden the bike only about 10km in the initial testing. My normal rider input is about 250-270W on level ground. I get into the Torque sens...

Re: What motor temp is safe

Today I went out on a 10 mile ride, air temps high 60’s. Had the power set at level 7-9 and my motor temp got up to 167 f. The house was very warm to hot to the touch. What is safe and how can I help keep the motor cool. I have a 36v overclocked motor with a 52v battery. Would the 48/52v motor run ...

Re: New

My motor did really bite into the frame at the chain stays :( I’m worried this will cause a rust issue down the line since this frame is cromoly. What do you guys think? Brand new TDSZ2? I just got a new TDSZ2 to put on my wife's bike. I currently have a modified one on my touring bike (flashed, thermal pads, temp sensor, dual chainring, KT-LCD3... ). I bought it from PSW Power. Should I install the new one and ride it for a while in the stock configuration, in case...

Installing brake switches? I'm starting to configure my tandem for a TDSZ2, and I want to install brake switches.
