Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

... ... Are you sure? I asked Eco Ebike about the bluetooth update of their SW102 display on January and they told me: "The initial OSF upload by Bluetooth is not available yet. It is still a work in progress. For now, you have to open it, and do it manually. We recommend using the OSF 850c until t...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

I have a spare brass gear but you will have to tell me of which type. I'm not sure if you are EU based ? Apparently my PN hasn't been sent, so here's my answer again. What do you mean? What kind of type? I mean this gear: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/32827565766.html And yes, I come from the EU, ...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

This is what is in the instruction: ... Acceleration of the engine. As a first setting, use low values, then gradually increase if necessary. Consider the values in the table as maximum values. Set carefully, aware that setting a higher value than necessary can cause greater stress on the transmiss...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Does the parameter MOTOR_ACCELERATION perhaps have an big effect on the maximum power transmission to the blue gear? Before I went on tour yesterday, I improved the heat conduction of my engine and also looked at the blue gear. It looked almost like new, absolutely intact (after ~500km). But on my t...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

In Germany we say "Jaein", which means yes and no. I don't know if there is anything comparable in English :) With Casainho's firmware you flash both the engine and the display. The VLCD5 display on the other hand cannot be flashed. That's why the functions are more basic and there are many workarou...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

I'm really struggling to find a good guide to installing this on my tsdz2 with vlcd5 display. Can anyone please point a poor noob in the right direction. Here is an instruction how to connect the necessary flasher: https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/TSDZ2_wiki/wiki/Flash-the-firmware-on-T...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Just be aware that the gear sensor requires 5v to run the electronics in the sensor. The standard brake sensors that come with the motor are purely a Closed/Open switch and the brake sensor plug has only 2 of the 3 slots populated (see image below). The VLCD5 brake sensor sockets do have all 3 pins...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

I have now purchased 2 "BAFANG Hydraulic Brake Sensor" as recommended by casinho. On his wiki page he shows how to solder/connect the 2 contacts of the sensor to the 6pin LCD cable. Now I'm thinking about how to do this analog on the VLCD5. There are already 2 ports on the display for the brakes. I ...

Re: TSDZ2 no longer works after disassembly

Thanks again, maximusdm. Due to your hint with the power cable, I thought again whether I might have broken something near the controller when opening the case. So I checked all cables again. I couldn't find any fault, but suddenly the motor is working normally again. When I wanted to reassemble eve...

Re: TSDZ2 no longer works after disassembly

Thank you very much for your reply. I think the custom firmware has overwritten the error message. I will flash the original firmware tomorrow and see if it shows me anything. But I think more than "problem with motor" will not appear. My hope was that somebody might have experience with defective H...

TSDZ2 no longer works after disassembly [UPDATE: Works again]

Hi guys, I have a problem and maybe you can help me. Since I live in a mountainous region, my engine overheats quickly. Therefore I wanted to follow these instructions: https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/TSDZ2_wiki/wiki/How-to-improve-motor-heat-dissipation. Unfortunately my engine doesn't...

If I recall correctly that is a feature. Since the speedometer is used to display values, the odometer gets wrong values, so the speedometer stays 0 for a while to compensate.
That makes sense. Thanks, then I'll turn off the compensation.

I will test the new github version in a few hours. At the moment I am still at work and afterwards I first want to modify my engine for better heat dissipation. If the problem still exists I will upload my config.

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Hi, is it possible that the temperature sensor does not work in the current release? I have tested different settings yesterday and today and reflashed x times, but it does not work for me. With the last marcoq firmware and 20 °C temperature limit set, the motor stops (error code E06) as soon as I w...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive and 850C and SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hi Casainho, have the street mode any priority for you?

I am waiting version for version but unfortunately no street mode yet. Maybe you don't need street mode and therefore you don't implement it?

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

It's quite simple ... when I had the original software the engine gave little power. On the 20% gradient I could not have continuous 300w and it was a great effort. Obviously the temperature is much lower. Personally I want to have fun and an engine is cheap .... about 65 € I don't want automatic l...
