Re: Battery won’t charge.
It must surely be a coincidence that just two days ago, everything was fine and then you replaced both of the output connectors on the main battery leads, and then, immediately after that, the charging problem suddenly manifests itself. My guess would be that the two wires touched at some point and ...

You did not answer the question.
Does you bike charge thru the discharge leads or do you use a separate charging port?

Re: Intermittent no power problem
I find myself wondering if this bike charges thru the discharge leads, and if answering the question, posed early on, about if the problem only occurs after a charge, which the OP dismissed as it "couldn't possibly be part of the problem", would have saved a LOT of totally unnecessary, was...

Re: Help UMN Researchers with E-Scooter Design
Went thru the first 6-8 questions. You are producing this on behalf of an institution of higher learning, within the United States? You fail completely to even describe what an e-scooter IS. A kick-scooter with a motor, or a small motorcycle? Pictures might be useful. Incompetent. Might pass muster ...

First, I would make a mandatory rule that anyone who is a vendor or who works for a vendor must identify themselves as such. Commercial products are part of the hobby, that means many have a profit motive, and THAT means many serious issues. As for the "like" system, let me give you an exa...

You are speaking to a "vendor" who has never mentioned the name of his shop, never advertised a product for sale, never posted in the vendor section, and discusses and promotes ONLY products sold by Eric Hicks, owner of Luna. Almost certainly one of Eric's alter egos. He used to have many,...

Re: Brainpower controller and s866 display ,problems
For future readers trying to solve a similar problem, it would be VERY important to note that your bike was originally a 24V system which you are upgrading to 48V. See, what that would almost certainly mean is that the headlight is a 24V unit and some smart guy would be able to tell you that it abso...

Re: Ebike not working motor cuts out...
OP says it "worked" 2 months ago. That may mean it got 50 feet. It could also mean it had significant range, and maybe he crashed or dropped it in a swimming pool or body of water, or something else. Why the two month gap? It is having LVC events, but when load is removed, shows nearly ful...

Depending on How Well it worked and How Long it worked and What Happened to it in between when it DID work and when it DOES NOT work and how MUCH DETAIL you can provide about all of these things, which would be a LOT MORE than you have supplied so far, you might have a very minor, easy to fix proble...

The size limit is 512 Kb, NOT Mb. That is "KILO" as opposed to "MEGA". There are numerous good reasons for a website to limit image sizes. Likely a waste of time to explain them. The OP's link to original product purchased is no longer valid. They will have to make perhaps 30-60 ...

Re: Geared Hub Motor Quality
It is worth noting that the two motors with exceptionally poor quality control from Xiongda that Neptronix is referring to were NOT the infamous Xiongda 2-speed, but a completely different and unrelated model. Numerous such reports makes one wonder how anyone could possibly put this company in a lis...

Did have a problem a few days ago. Could not connect, sorry did not pay close attention to message as other sites came up fine. Failed at least twice. One time I connected and search seemed extremely slow. Bailed out and waited. By search I mean the quick links. Cleared up a few hours later. Error d...

Been reading extensively here and elsewhere for about 8 years. I read VORACIOUSLY. Focus on small geared hub motors, as they best fit my needs. 30 years experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting. Bafang - huge numbers, few negative reports outside of usage beyond recommended parameters. MXUS - w...

Re: New York DMV Abandoned vehicle/vessel
Don't know if you are still looking at this but, coupla things. The letter you got from the police saying it is not stolen. Good, but NOT what the law specifies, "have no interest". That is a very different thing, and specific wording is important. Just off the top of my head, "intere...

Re: New York DMV Abandoned vehicle/vessel
Almost every US jurisdiction has a similar 90-day, abandoned property law. Go to your local Courthouse, Clerk of Courts office, BE NICE, BE FRIENDLY, BE POLITE, and they will direct you to a terminal where you can read and print out, for a moderate printing fee, usually $1 per page, the entire law. ...

So, you are currently in possession of a car valued at $6,000, you are aware of and have spoken to the registered owner, and intent to part it out? That is grand theft auto, hope you get a good cellmate. You do not ask them for help, you offer to help them. "You have a car under your ownership,...

As above, the sensor must be Extremely Close to function.
Good you found the test, now you know. There is a way to reduce the combinations you need to try, this you should locate for future reference.

Describe the events surrounding blowing the controller originally. It failed IMMEDIATELY after replacing the controller? Ran for, .....what? Seconds, minutes? Is each run time roughly similar, or very closely the same? Have you tested several hours after failure, 1 day, 1.5 days, 2, etc? Are you tes...

If you wanted the chainguard, you bought the wrong motor. Hopefully the battery including the mounting bracket, which attaches to the water bottle mounts. If your bike does not have water bottle mounts, then looks like you are 2 for 2. You can have the mounts installed, if you are willing to drill h...
