Re: Need nice seat for e-MTB. Suggestions?
I went with the Selle Royale gel on my Raptor. Super comfy for my sit bones. Might not like it as much if I were pedaling more due to the somewhat wide nose of the saddle rubbing my thighs, but for that bike it's just about perfect.

Re: Temporary replacement controller
Is the yyk programmable in the sense that output amps can be reduced? I want to begin upgrading my second bike but plan to run the existing weaksauce motor a while longer as I handle battery and controller upgrades and don't really want to cook it.

Saw this not too long ago which completely turned me off to UPP, not that I wasn't already skeptical.

Re: Your thoughts on frames and riding positions?
I picked up a Giant Revive for commuter duty. It's extremely comfortable, I'll give it that. Pedal forward but can still transfer weight onto them when necessary. Not the most aerodynamic seating position of the semi recumbents but good visibility. Have only had it for a week or so and am still gett...

Re: 52 volt batteries proceed with caution
Is it that hard to create a larger mold? The market requires more quality manufactured packs of varying voltage and capacity. This shouldn't be that hard for an industry of purportedly competent manufacturers to achieve, but here we are. Make them from too big to fit to too small to want and everyth...

Guess the bike distracted them...
Just shot over to Starbucks for a cold brew and was on my way back to my kids school to pick him up. Made a left turn from the left turn lane and apparently the guy behind me decided to follow. Unfortunately neither they nor the oncoming pickup truck they were turning in front of noticed each other ...

Re: Making new E-Bike, question about power
If it were me: QS205 v3 50h, probably 4t. 72v nominal battery pack capable of at least 100 amps continuous, but the more the merrier. Take your pick on controller. Nucular would be my first choice, if you don't mind waiting a year for it to be built, but anything handy that can push some amps should...

Nice paint job, but I'm curious... How did they manage to purchase that thing without knowing what it was, and why did it need assembling?

Re: 18650 cells in series safely?
Except if you're talking about batteries. Each battery cannot output more than 30 amps. So if I put 3 in a row, I can draw 90 amps from each battery in the series. So then I'd be drawing 30 amps from the first battery, 30 amps from the 2nd battery, and 30 amps from the third battery so the last bat...

Repair the motor wiring, then repair or replace the controller.

Re: How To Wire a 12V Brake Light and Turn Signals
I'm honestly a bit surprised that no one has brought a plug and play solution to market yet. It would seem like a reasonably easy thing for a company like a controller manufacturer to churn out. A box with high voltage inputs, outputs for lights, i/o for some switches. There is clearly a demand.

Re: Regen. braking cuts out unpredictably - Settings? Solution?
Are you sure it's the current limit and not one of your cell groups hitting their max allowable voltage? Because if it's the latter it's working as it should to prevent overcharging that group. I know you said partially discharged, but unless you're able to monitor group voltages on the fly it's har...

Re: From BBS01 to a Qulbix Raptor 140
First off its a 161h.....i guess you talk about the lighter one. The LMX is a total different world. For commuting my Raptor build was way better, but only for that. It was silent, maintenance free, it had a lot of range due to the big battery, just sit on it and eat kilometers. You only need a new...

Re: need help downgrading from mxus 3k
If all you want is 35mph then your current 96v is unnecessarily excessive. You could probably reconfigure your pack to cut that voltage in half, still have more than enough to exceed your speed goals, and doube your range. Fewer cells in series, more in parallel. Won't change the weight, but it's an...

Speak for yourself. Mike bike weighs 100 and will do 100, lol. Not to mention your 15lb bike weighs how much after you throw your leg over the saddle again? More. Quite a bit more. Now point it downhill. All of that aside though, hydros offer considerably better feel and modulation and significantly...

Cables are fine, but there was a reason every production motorcycle switched to hydraulic decades ago. They're better.
But this was never about one vs the other. It was about being competent enough to not give someone else $30 to do a simple job for you.

Uh, I bled from the top side, so no chance of that happening. Didn't lose a drop. You might come in contact with a tree should that cable snap though.

OP: the phone is probably attempting to draw more amperage than the lcd can provide. Get a portable usb power bank for phone charging.
