Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

This thread... Could somebody please fix the assist level 3 in maroq's version? The only issue I've had with his last release is that the engine activates itself when going downhill.

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Hi I just install a new TSDZ2 750W 48V with VLCD5, with Ackmaniac firmware, all seems to be fine (thanks a lot Marocq and Ackmaniac) But and after 20km, no more assistance. I put factory firmware again and try, no assistance. But Walk assist is OK Throttle is OK On hidden menu, I find : RE is at 0 ...

The version of Ackmaniac fixed the next things.
• firmware supported 32 ADC steps instead of 255
Btw was 255 steps supposed to show on the screen ? At least In vlcd5 it only showed 32 like before.

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I just realized this, Marcoq's github repo still has a bug with switching levels, does it not? So I thought i'd just look into Ackmaniac's archive and find the file where he fixed that. It's in the folder Src/controller/ named "ebike_app.c" So I replaced marcoq's file with his... and my bike almost ...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Here's a very simplified noob-friendly version I made: I've added a Link to your post to the wiki, thank you, but I don't know why you needed the additional steps with all the ST stuff and the manual copying of folders?! The steps in the wiki didn't work for you?! Link to the Wiki at github I'm not...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Alright. So turns out the previous firmware made by Marcoq, which is 0.19c, actually works quite well and I can notice the bike got a bit more powerful now. ................. And then to add more confusion to the mess there were people asking and advising for displays other than VLCD5.... There sho...

Alright. So turns out the previous firmware made by Marcoq, which is 0.19c, actually works quite well and I can notice the bike got a bit more powerful now. My goal was to get maximum assist and minimal pedaling effort. I mostly use Turbo and it's definitely gotten better than with stock firmware. S...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

After flashing with different settings all I got is that my motor got so weak that I can't even ride it anymore. I think I'll stick to stock firmware. Hopefully it will return everything back to defaults. Oh - that sounds frightening :? I also want to do some first test the next weeks on a 48V moto...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I also see that power assist for level 3 doesn't work. (errror is also in marcos version) If you step up from level 2 it is the same power as on level 2 and if you step down from level 4 it stays at the power of level 4. I fixed the error in my repository. https://github.com/AckmaniacSoftware/TSDZ2...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Is Ackmaniac's update meant for 36v motors? I am a bit hesitant to try in case there's some type of a bug again that might fry the circuits

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Motor safer for long is 10A ... no one use this parameter . If you need to get max power for a short time let 18A max and 700W max ... all other default parameter will work fine for your use . 5. How does assistance without pedal rotation work? Is it similar to throttle or walk mode? this mean as s...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Guys, I have read this whole thread and I am going to soon try to flash my controller as well. However my goal is clear - to squeeze out as much power and assist as possible with as little pedaling effort as possible (in fact I would prefer no torque dependence at all ) and no overheating. I ordered...
