Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi All, I have the 36V variant of the TSDZ2 with no throttle. I have installed version 19.0 and after quite a lot of shenanigans I am able to flash the motor - as the very helpful people on here said, it is very important to have a short cable when flashing! I have a problem with the speed sensor n...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

has the startup boost funcionality been removed from 0.20? I don't see it in the 0.20 configuration manual on the wiki Buba removed that feature from 0.20.0 but I plan to implement it again on 0.21.0. In fact, I created an issue so I will not forget this: https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmwar...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

,.... The cgq8 is the speed sensor with a double head connection for lights. In that case it looks indeed only a different controller with bluetooth with the same motor. This has consequenses for installing (and developing) OSF. Please find pictures of the motor controller and also, if possible, pl...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

....... 8, Sensor: CGQ8 double head (CGQ7 before) ..... [/i] What does "CGQ8 double head" mean? Better torque sensor? ... It looks that to me that CGQ7 is the speedsensor CGQS7 ( I have seen the "S" difference ). CGQ8 looks the new one. IMHO nothing to do with torque. On the Tongsheng site I found ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I'm using the V19 and 3.7. I tried to duplicate it this morning with no success. The only other thing I recall doing was toggling the light switch on and then off in turbo mode prior to this happening. It was not a bad situation for me but if the battery did not have a switch within easy reach I wo...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I had that issue this afternoon. Going Manhattan uphill 18mph, I stopped pedaling because I was to close the bike in front of me. But the motor kept pushing 18mph so I reduced the assist level but no changes. I turned off the motor from the display and that was it. Thank god I just read you post bef...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Thanks elem! I went through the marcoq post on the italian forum looking for any explanation of the k factor and soft start. This what I found (google translation) and I still don't get it. It isn't clear to me his description of the k soft factor. For the soft start the K factor is indispensable be...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I have not found the soft start timeout 1/10s parameters on the tdsz2 OSF wiki https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/TSDZ2_wiki/wiki/Features-and-configurations-for-version-0.19.X Is this a feature available on the marcoq configurator? I use the motor on a commuter bike and the default 20 val...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Hi, I just flashed the tsdz2 with vlcd5 and I have a couple questions: 1. How is the walk assist activated from the display? 2. I only enabled the street mode by default in the java configurator. No emblem mode. Pressing the light I got the E03 error but not sure if that means that disabled the str...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I took a look at the securing block last night and I was able to make it work. I flipped it so the top piece goes backward. Don't know how efficient it could be but I hope it prevents any motor rotation.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

The bracket is to counteract the torque wanting to rotate the motor forwards. If you just rotate it all the way forward until it's resting against the frame and tighten the lock ring in that position, you don't need the bolt support. Ideally, stick some padding (bit of inner tube or other rubber fo...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi! Yesterday I did my best to install the motor on a Trek Fx2 but I was not able to install the back bolt attachment. There is no room for it between the bike chain stays and the bolt support.

Is there any alternative?
Potential issues if I run the motor without it?
