Re: Giant Revive conversions
This is interesting topic. I also have a Giant Revive. First I added disc brakes. Front fork was replaced by Sunlite fork. To add a disc to rear I fabricated a thick Al plate with a disc adapter. Three holes are used for supporting it. Then I added eZee rear hub motor. The battery consists of three ...

All, I got my package today. It took a while but he delivered what was described in his ad. BMS in this battery has a common port type. You don't need a separate charge port. The discharge port can be used for charging. This will simplify the layout. Which battery you got. Does your come in a metal...

Here are photos. The charge port is cut. The measured capacities of 3 units were Capacity test: discharge from 54.6V to 41V. C1, 409 Wh (41V) C2, 410 Wh (41V) C6, 415 Wh (41V) I use only up to 50% of battery charge (90% to 40% discharge). I use 2 to 3 of these batteries in parallel in my ebikes. I p...

This battery is a good deal but one is not sufficient for BBSHD. You need at least 2. 3 is better for a long trip. Also the voltage sag is fairly large.
I use 2 or 3 of these with my BBSHD.

Re: Freway VR 01
I have Freway VR 01. I paid $75 because the battery was dead. So I opened it and removed the controller and BMS from it. I thought I can use the controller/display with a new battery. Unfortunately, the controller does not work with a different battery. It has the comm lines to BMS. The color displa...

Re: Is it possible to upgrade battery packs?
Higher voltage gives me higher speed. So far I have not had any fire would fire between your knees make you go faster? Hi Goatman, We are dealing with the safety of 1S**P 4.2V battery here. 48V battery is already protected with BMS. BBSHD uses 30A max. My 1S20P (44Ah) is used with less than 1C. So ...

Re: Is it possible to upgrade battery packs?
I have a 48V 25Ah battery pack that I use with BBS02b. I don't know the make of the cells but I suspect the maximum discharge rate is no more than 20A. Since the top speed (48km/h) or average speed (40km/h) on flat is not sufficient, I am thinking of upgrading the battery pack to 52V by adding a se...

Re: 70$ Li-Ion Battery Pack 48V 10.5Ah 500w output
Curveship, Thanks for this information. I got 10 of these batteries to replace my 36V batteries. I was using four to five 36V/4.4Ah batteries in parallel on my ebikes. When I was connecting three of these 48V batteries in parallel, I made a mistake and shorted them. There was no issue. BMS protected...

Re: 70$ Li-Ion Battery Pack 48V 10.5Ah 500w output
I got this battery last week and measured the usable capacity. From totally discharged to full charge. Discharge was done using 0.5C (about 5A). Charging was done using Luna 54.5V charger set to 3A. After 3 hours, the total amount of charge was 380Wh. So this is the total usable capacity of one unit...

Re: Issues with cheap controller and Panasonic hub motor
Can you check the battery voltage at the controller? I think some old Panasonic used 24V. What is the voltage of your controller?
