Re: The E-Gull

Was that 400amps at about 100v? IF so 40kw max and about 10kw for cruise.
So it looks like your 25min flight took about 5 to 6 kw.
What battery capacity do you have.?
Looks and sounds great.

Re: ADAPTTO Controllers - new functions discussion

All good ideas.
But for me,
External switches to change modes and to set cruise.
Separate external (hidden) switch and mode for a low power police safe setting.(AUS)
Bluetooth.

Re: XPD: open-source keywin e-bike lab replacement

Hi,
I have EB2## and EB3## controllers.
Does anyone know what 'speed 4' does in the EB3## software, or how it interacts with speed 1,2,3 & SL?
I have all the speeds( 3 + SL)working in the EB2## software but am having problems working out the EB3## settings
thanks Eddie

Re: Keywin E-bike Lab Parameter Designer Software Manual-ver

What is the 'Speed 4' entry all about in XPD.
I had the speed 1,2&3 on the 206 board sorted out, but now their is a speed 4 on the 306 board software??
What is it and how is it used?
thanks in advance Eddie

Hi, Have you charged batterys though this yet to check the programable cutouts for HVC? Did it cutout at LVC to the set voltages? Sorry for all the questions, but this BMS seems like it would be perfect for a lot a situations if it works! No traffic on this thread makes me think there are problems. ...

Re: XPD: open-source keywin e-bike lab replacement

Those with a CA connected will know the shunt resistance of their controller, because it has to be set to get the correct amp reading.
I should add 'only with unmodded shunts'.

Re: XPD: open-source keywin e-bike lab replacement

I tried it on a basic EB306 from Keywin and it came up with 'Programed successfull' or something like that.
I can't try it on a bike yet until I upgrade it to 100v.

thanks for all your work

Hi,

Can you run different versions of XPD on the same computer?
I have EB206 and EB306 controlers.
Or is there a version that will program both?

thanks Eddie

Hi,

I looked into these a few weeks ago.
Sent a few emails and got a response.
I was just a liitle cautious and have done nothing yet. Really I was waiting for a some feedback from someone using one.
Looks like you could be the man.
Looking foward to hearing how they go.

Re: First E-Bike build - Full suspension, geared hub motor

Good looking build.
I use a 6 fet controller with the updated fets up to 35amps in short burst with no problems.
I have a 9c motor and 14s lipos.
I built up the traces with solder and partily bridged the shunt with solder.

Firstly, Edward I'm glad you didn't get hurt. Second, Everytime I read or see batteries in a backpack I worry. Alot of energy mounted on a persons back that can cause some serious injury. Third, Some of the packs I have seen are free to move around, possibly damaging cells and or wiring, leading to ...

Jeremy Iv'e been tinkering with Picaxe micros at the moment and am trying to work out how to insert one inline with the throttle to make a 'current throttle'. Iv'e been slowly learning the basics of PID control (and Picaxe basic) that I would need to get this to work on a picaxe. The 20X series chip...

I think you will tear the tyre apart quite quickly with the cone type fricton drive.
As it pushes down into the tyre for grip the contact patch widens, this area sees different speeds across the cone.
I could be wrong, but just visualizing it my mind it seems it can't work.

yep, like the look of that seat. I feel a lot more confident now heading offroad with a bike I know that can take it. It's also alot more stable. I'm only putting 2000w max though it at about 55km/h and it still feels good at this speed. Did a 65km trip around the 'downs' yesterday and used 12.5A/hr...

Kona Stinky build

My original ebike frame was an ebay ‘Special’ I built up, so I thought before I kill myself I’d better upgrade to a decent bike. I wanted a strong frame, good suspension and large hydraulic disk brakes. I found a well used but mechanically good Kona Stinky for the right price tha...
