Re: Screw stuck on battery

Yeah its a small bolt, I couldn't upload a photo. I tried WD40 and then a rubber band and it didn't move much. I followed this video and got it out with a dab of superglue in the end : https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/How+to+Rem ... crew/13213

Re: How Motors Work - some educational links

Unipolar Motors do not require the use of H-bridges, making it simpler to install and operate. According to this website: https://www.accu.co.uk/en/p/95-unipolar-stepper-motors-vs-bipolar-stepper-motors However, Bipolar motors are generally have more torque and are more efficient than unipolar motor...

Re: Building Solar Panel

We have just bought a cheap soldering iron from Aldi, and we have a welding kit and a fastener kit like these: https://www.accu.co.uk/1559-prokits . I didn't think about what we could connect it to, I was just thinking about what he could learn. A string of small LED lights would be a good idea. The...

Building Solar Panel

I'm going to build a solar panel system for my garden with my son. He is already quite good at making things from wood, so I thought something like this project would be educational for him: https://www.electronicproducts.com/Sustainable/Solar/How_to_build_a_solar_panel_system.aspx Has anyone made a...

Re: How Motors Work - some educational links

If a H Bridge is needed to reverse the direction of a Bipolar Stepper Motor. Does a unipolar stepper get used with a H bridge too? In what cases would you need a H bridge for a unipolar stepper?

Re: How Motors Work - some educational links

Hello,

Please can someone tell me the difference between a unipolar stepper motor and a bipolar stepper motor. I understand that Bipolar motors have a higher torque but can they be used in the same applications?

Re: How to remove a stuck pivot bolt

I've tried the C clamp, I think I've loosened the threads a little bit, but I've rounded the head of the bolt so I can't really get any grip to pull it out.

Re: How to remove a stuck pivot bolt

Hello everyone, I've currently got the same problem but it won't move at all. I've tried everything a thick elastic band, and dabbing some glue on it. I also tried heating the frame, but nothing seems to work. It just doesn't budge at all. Any ideas please?
