Day Six bicycles

Does anyone have any owner contact or is aware of any feedback on Day Six electric bicycles? They are expensive, but seem to be very comfortable and user friendly.

Re: on-off ignition switch

I did the test recommended by Amberwolf and it showed the switch to be ok. I then started checking the fuses--one in-line small amperage and two bayonet fuses--a 10 amp and a 40 amp. When I checked the 40 amp and went to replace it in the receptacle, it arced. I thought I had messed up the 40 amp, b...

on-off ignition switch

I have a 10 year old Aerobic Cruiser which just quit working while I was riding it. I thought--no problem--it just needs a charge. After charging it overnight, I rode it about a mile and parked it during the rest of the day. When I came back to ride it home, it started (as shown by the LCD display) ...

Re: hub motor replacement

I saw that and talked to someone at Luna Cycle. Unfortunately, they are out of bare motors at this time, which would have been $350. The paired version that you mention is $500 and comes with a ASI BAC 800 controller. My bike uses a ASI BAC 1000 controller. I do not know if they are compatible. I wi...

Re: hub motor replacement

Do you know any sources for MAC 500 hub motors other than the Chinese sources. If I can find one--even used--I can swap out the guts into my old housing and hopefully be back on the road.

Re: hub motor replacement

I already sent in a request to em3ev.com, but that was only yesterday. I would really like to upgrade the hub motor to a more reliable system. One of the problems with the original MAC500 was that it had 55T plastic gears. It seems like most of more recent entries have 36T, so each tooth is more sub...

Re: hub motor replacement

The original motor was a Cutler MAC500. I am not aware of any modifications or that the producers of the Aerobic Cruiser customized the order to any degree. The MAC500 was produced in Shanghai, China and one of the problems is identifying the wiring coding, since they were not always consistent in u...

hub motor replacement

I have an aerobic cruiser whose hub gears are stripped. It is difficult to find replacements for this bike that hasn't been made for 10 years. My question is this: are there any new hub motors that are compatible with the ASI BAC1000 controller that came as original equipment?
