Re: Anyone have experience with Soletrac E25 Tractor?

I looked into the link OP posted, lower down the page was a link to the Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation's website: https://www.kokuahawaiifoundation.org/news/detail/new_electric_tractor_on_the_kkua_learning_farm Maybe contact them? I have always thought an e-tractor as the ideal platform for a large solar ...

Re: Can an Off Grid Solar Inverter be powered by batteries in the PV input?

I don't see why it would not work. I would test it using a low amperage fuse inline(1-5 amps?), be aware the inrush current to charge the input capacitors may pop a low amperage fuse, you could work around that with a pre-charge resistor. Once you are satisfied with testing, replace the low amp fuse...

Re: lowish wattage controller with regen

What is the max voltage you are looking for? What kind of vehicle? The Xiaomi M365 scooter controller is cheap and abundant: https://www.ebay.com/itm/284916660444 Fairly capable, (field oriented control, regen) and you can flash open source firmware if desired: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/view...

Re: FLIPSKY new 20s 100A tiny controller (vesc based)

As with most things from china, I usually open them up and do my own quality control inspection. The last 75100 alu I received had a few solder whiskers floating around in the case, and while it may not immediately cause a problem, murphy's law is ever present. Also, the soft silicone wires tend to ...

Re: FLIPSKY new 20s 100A tiny controller (vesc based)

Nice test jaykup, I have one of the V201/V202 versions(have not opened it yet to see which), I am guessing V202 because was able to update to standard 75300 firmware(untested on actual motor, and I disabled the phase filtering) I am aware of the design by user ypl https://endless-sphere.com/forums/v...

Re: Hub motor as mid (illegalbike)

Really beautiful work of art! I noticed you adjusted your brake lever at about 2:30, after laying it down, on the last video. It reminded me of something I learned riding motorcycles in the mountains with my dad, that is to loosen the perch clamp till it just barely holds position on the handlebar, ...

Re: Historic "Deathbike" stolen in Oregon, $1500 reward

Was anything else stolen/missing? might give a clue as to being a random or targeted/inside job. I lived in Bend for ~8 years(moved away in 2013), don't really have any particular contacts left there, but I will keep my eye out for possible leads. Also, the thief may frequent ES, so may even read th...

Re: Big update to the biker bar & order of the forums

DIY is exactly what brought me here to this site in 2009, and has continued to be a fantastic source of information for me to this day. But what I would like to address, is, the definition(scope?) of DIY, (for ES). If I buy a new Sur Ron X Bike, and come to ES and start a thread that consists of: &q...

I have 5+ years *production* experience writing the gamut of TSQL. I have 30 minutes of looking through the PHP 7 language reference, and some example code, I had no trouble understanding what was going on. That being said, I think learning the environment e.g. Xenforo, PHP ide, hosting platform, et...
