Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

anyone ridden what I'd call 'recent batch' of lightweight ebikes? ie sub 15kg or less than 33lbs in 'old money' with something like fazua or x35 ebikemotion or eg Specialized Turbo Vado SL......and how do they compare to the TSDZ2?
Thanks!

Re: EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource

The wireless communication between the two boards eliminates all wires running up the frame from the motor. We would also not want it under the stem as the led on the nrf52840 must be visible ok thanks so do you envisage the 'motor nRF52840' being mounted on the seat tube? why must the led be visib...

Re: EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource

I'm a bit confused....is the VLCD5 remote keypad using a different nRF52840 dongle? And is that why it needs its own battery? The remote control allows for assist changes, power control, garmin page changes, etc. yeah that sounds really good! is it not possible to roll it all up into one board? The...

Re: EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource

I might pull the trigger on a TSDZ2 cos with the weak $ it works out less than 260€ delivery to Europe Should I buy a 6 wire or an 8 wire? Also any pros to going for a 36v motor over 48v? I want to run a simple battery pack to begin with, will try and cobble something together with batteries out of ...

So for say,a 6s and a 280Kv motor (50x3.14x25.2x280x0.7x60/1000000)= possible road speed@full charge of approx 46km/h.

Help with friction drive bracket

see pic, the surface is pretty flat I want a bracket for one of those skateboard motors like a 6354 I'm thinking I can get away with a metal U shaped bracket going onto the chain stays (with cable ties around those bits) then a right angled piece to attach the motor to I might even drill another sma...

Re: Full suspension mountain bike Friction Drive

Looks a little tight in there but it has been a well proven mounting position. Check this out. Friction drives using RC Outrunners have been around for a long time. What made them cooler was the Vesc and FOC mode which shut them up and gave us true current limiting in a tiny package. Excellent than...

Re: Full suspension mountain bike Friction Drive

A 6384 motor is quite wide and may not fit between your cranks. I normally use 6354 motors but I know a 6364 will fit Ok also. The Vesc Mini are great. That's all I use these days. ah yes, rule number 2, never believe what a chinaman says..... I looked at the dimensions and a seller picture showed ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hmmm... The more I read the more concerned I become. Now that I have the motor delivered I see what a tiny little motor that really is. Not only compared to one of my DD Crystalyte motor, but also compared to a MAC hubmotor or even a Bafang BBS. I also now see why this is REALLY only a 500W motor, ...
