Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I assume you have loaded the firmware over Bluetooth from your phone, using nrf toolbox? You need to flash the bootloader using an stlink, then wirelessly load the program data. That's what I did, soldered the wires onto the pads on the circuit board and used the stlink to flash the bootloader usin...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Jeff and HughF I am really interested in all of these starting power questions. Jeff what made you switch displays? I use my motor on a heavy cargo bike where I want a lot of torque off the line and a fast response, which I get right now from 0.20beta on the display [that shall not be mentioned in ...

Be careful with riding with high assist level. I usually ride in 8-9 levels. With 10-11 the motor gets really hot to touch after a 30 minutes ride.
I am so over caring about motor heat and/or my blue gear. If it burns out or destroys itself, I will just buy another and fix mine.

Please, please, please, Will someone help me! I can´t help because I don't have a handcycle like you to test. For me, on my bicycles, the current firmware version work very well (although is not perfect!). Jeff, the only other option left for you to try is to grab a copy of the torque only code for...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Jeff, from your post it sounds like you have two cycles, one you pedal and one that is hand crank; is this correct? I dont bother with full torque sensor calibration, I just set the maximum weight to whatever I weigh at the time of calibration. Usually around 73kgs as my weight is stable, and I'm a...

Re: Tsdz2 motor models question

It looks like you have purchased the controller with the 8 pin throttle interface. This allows you to connect a hand throttle to the unit.

You found and fixed the bug in the boost logic? I read the code but I don't understand what could be wrong for now. I don't have enough time currently, maybe next two weeks I'll can investigate more as I'll be in holiday (but without testing as I won't have my bike with me). I suggested a couple pa...

Jeff, do you have assistance without pedal rotation enabled? I tried it both ways, one way schutters and then starts to go the other way the power doesn't start for at least 2 rotations. Yep, it stutters for me too, but because I always ride at a very high assist level (13 by default on my sw102), ...

Hugh thanks for the reply, I'm not doing this just for myself I'm trying to get all the default setup for anyone that has a handcycle. Most of us don't have the time or the ability to calibrate the torque sensor without recruiting someone else to do it for us. So I need to get all the settings work...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

My experience with the tsdz2 light output is that it is barely adequate. I think it will manage 5w, no more.

Any 5v relay can be used. This can be turned on and off from the vlcd5 by using the light output to trigger the relay

I would like to document the flash and debug using Visual Code Studio for: - STM8 on the TSDZ2 motor controller - STM32 on the...

I almost wish there is a simple analog indicator for assist levels and buttons the rest goes to mobile app or something. Sw102 is useless in bright sunshine especially with polarized sunglasses. I have to tilt my head 45 degrees while riding to try to figure out what's the current assist level. Sti...
