Re: Bafang G311 front hub speed limit

The link you supplied shows the M8 being a mid drive?
A front hub motor is easy to find and see what it is, since it's wide open in the middle of the wheel.
So do you have a hub motor or the mid drive they post as in the M8?

Re: Voltage? 48v Controller has big 63v and smaller 50v caps

In most cases you can run up to 15s but not in all controllers. 14s is or should be no problem. I have a cheap controller like that running 16s 66v peak for the last 4/5 years.
Not all will live but 14s 56v peak LiLo in most cases no problem. LVC might be a little lower than recommended.

Re: Helmet E-Bike standard NTA 8776

Next step is a motorcycle helmet. I would say 35 puts you in the category. Most states are still 20mph, so why would I need a special helmet when roadies are passing me?

Re: Adding cells to a pack

Does the controller have a 3 speed switch? If not you might look for the tabs on the controller and add one. Most controllers that have the tabs for it are set at middle speed, a jumper could give you more speed with less hassle. Not sure where it is. Most cases it is marked X1 X2 X3. I'm sure other...

Re: Li-Po size limitations

Hey all! This is my first post and this might have been answered before, but I'm not sure of the proper keywords to search for it. I'm currently working on the development of a portable device and would like it to be powered by a 5000mah li-po battery. Does anyone know what the physical limitations...

Re: new eZip motor

If you are still stuck on that 40 mph, get a hub motor with a 72v controller. Put your 72v battery on and go! 40 mph with 66v nominal is also possible.
I really don't recommend it with any pot holes or rough road, it's very unstable and dangerous even on smooth roads here in Florida.

Re: Replace phase wires MAC

Can anyone tell me the gauge of the phase wires that come in the MAC motor? Thanks It depends on the version/age. Some 14g some had double 14g not sure on the current version. I did replace my old version with 12g thin Teflon coated. It was tight, had to open up the axle hole some. I'm sure there w...

Re: Oxygen go

Have you looked at the controller? Some times there are two plugs connected that can limit the speed. Might not be there but worth a look. As buying a prebuilt, some good some not so good. I tell people, if the bike is less than $1500+ don't look at it. There are a lot of RTR's out there but most ar...

The seller told me the motor is silent is that correct?
Yes, it is silent.
The motor alone or the whole motor/gearbox?
Silent, no whine of the motor or gears? that would be nice!

Looks nice. Looks bigger than I expected. Won't be rolling over any alligators with that one. Maybe wheelie over them.

Gotta wait and see if the gears handle 60 or 72 volt. Any parts available if needed?

I just had a crash today. I was on a single track through the low brush and tall grasses which were almost like hay it seemed like but it cant be.
