Re: Are You getting the cold?
It's cold here in the pool, only 66, which is 7 degrees higher than a month a go. Low 60's is the low with 80 as a high for the next week, with a few cold days of 65. I sure don't miss the sub 0 weather, just can't ride when it's that cold. Only a few more weeks and it will be spring for you and hot...

Re: new eZip motor
The plugs might be the same but the color matches might not be in the motor. Just because the colors match doesn't mean the motor will run, correctly. The most important match is the positive and negative. Call them again and see what's up. Be nice, don't scream at them. Tell them that you are promo...

Re: new eZip motor
It was a ebikeling, 500 watt but I ran it to hard. I forgot that the smaller motors are more fragile than the MACs are, I have damaged clutches in a a MAC too. The brushed motors and controllers are cheap in comparison. There are many 750 watt controllers on Ebay. Not cheap like the brushed ones. I ...

Re: new eZip motor
Hey LC, Happy New year! Yes it will damage that motor. I had one and switched my power switch from low to medium and it damaged the clutch in the motor. It ran but if I gave it too much throttle too soon, the clutch slipped. You cannot use two motors on one controller. It might work it might not. Al...

Re: Merry Christmas everyone
It's been a good one over here. Been moderately sunny and in the low to mid 40's here in Utah. I've actually been building and testing some crazy stuff. IMG_20181220_165411.jpg It's been quite a gift because i normally hate this season and would rather not participate.. "i'll be out of the garage a...

Re: Switching my shifters
I used to think that too, until my throttle wire shorted out, jumping my bike to full power in the middle of traffic heading towards a busy intersection. Its a powerful bike, so even with full braking it was moving pretty good until after dodging the bus and the cross traffic I was able to reach do...

Re: new eZip motor
Thank you Sunder. I hope it works out for you. As I said on my last post my next thing to accomplish is how to build a wheel. The motor you sent a few years ago still works but hit a bad spot on the road and broke a spoke. I replaced the spoke but bike still shakes when I ride it. I used a spoke to...

Re: Switching my shifters
You really don't need them. Most here don't use them since they are not a good brake lever and doesn't work in some systems. Just remember to release the rhrottle before you brake. If you can't do that you might want to think twice about riding.

average.pngAs the Hub Motor Turns and the LiPo Fire burns. The perfect e bike build I am not bragging that it is the most expensive or fastest here. Re: new eZip motor
lmost every bike can handle that motor with proper torque arms. It is still aluminum and without GOOD TA's can fail if you put too much power to it. A 8turn MAC with 60v will do 40mph with little problem. The concern is the rider! Will you be able to hang on when you hit a small bump? No rear suspen...

Re: 48V MOTOR KITS MAX VOLTAGES
I agree with the above posts. The kit should be fine eith that voltage. you might find that the controller won't go right off he charger but does after a few minutes as the voltage settles down. I am assuming they are 5s, so 15s is a little high for a stock controller, when fully charged. What is th...
