Re: new eZip motor
Have you tried contacting them to see if they have any rear wheels left? They did have some.
Suicide, Has them post changed? It always talked like a suicide mission for a long time. 30mph on a 20" kids bike, that's too much for me. Oh, with shoe brakes too.

Remember, leaving batteries in the cold cuts capacity like half. Being used than the cold, they don't like that.

Re: new eZip motor
Your freezing and I have the AC on??? Only low 80s today, Gonna get cold soon, like 50s. Has been almost freezing last week! You don't wanna solder on the cells any more than really needed. It looks like your gonna solder direct to the cell not tabs, They really don't like the heat, especially the n...

Re: new eZip motor
Some cells are rated at 3.6v nominal and some at 3.7.
Those pictures are too fuzzy to see what is what.
And yes some of the plastic packs do need a hammer to crack the weld. have opened many laptop packs like that. Hit the corner of the pack, not too hard.

Re: new eZip motor
Separate the wires and take pics. Many hub kits are the same but then again many are not. So you find the power wires. Then the phase wires, and at many times will not color match. The hall wires also. You need to find the throttle wires and make sure red goes red and black to black. Then you might ...

Re: new eZip motor
Are the frames Aluminum or steel? I doubt they would be Chromoly. I had to build a Chromoly rear suspension arm after the Aluminum cracked. Aluminum can only take so much pressure when tightening the axle nuts. The axle flats can split the dropout before you even get a ride out of it. Just trying to...

Re: new eZip motor
Maybe I shouldn't say this but, NOTHING you have will handle a Cromo hub motor at the power you are expecting. Yeah you can run a smaller controller so it doesn't destroy the bike but again why. There are many cheap DD hub motors that can do 40mph for a short distance and still be ridden at regular ...

Re: new eZip motor
I really don't know how they compare. You can get parts for Bafang but not sure where at this time. I believe that the used Bafang hubs are 500w since that is the most commonly used. 20mph should be no problem. I just think you are expecting too much for so little $. If you gotta have a Ferrari you ...

Re: new eZip motor
Look at the bottom of the item you are looking at and shipping is there. to your Zip looks like $24. Don't believe they do PO boxes. Remember these are all used, some more than others. Used cells and motors. Just look might not be what you want at all. Yes I have a Bafang 36v 350w? I believe. Ran fi...

Re: new eZip motor
LC, have you ever measured the tire diameter? Not what it says on the tire but measure the tire mounted to get the real dia. Or how about the circumference to get a real Speedo speed? All things do figure into gear ratios and actual speed. I will say, that your solder joints do look better, a lot. Y...

Hi, My name is Chris from France, I recently try to buy two batteries from EM3eV for my EB but I have a hard time to reach out to them by email. Re: new eZip motor
Too loud! Sounds like the chain is too tight, as I here a click click a lot. like the chain is hitting a spot or more on the sprockets, or a few master links. Sensorless controllers are pretty common now. Had/have one back in 07 still have it. It does work on a geared hub but not as well as a DD. I ...

Re: new eZip motor
I'm rather sure the charger I sent you has that option. You need to find the option in the manual or on line. I know my Ichargers and the 30a charger from HobbyKing has it. the internal resistor done on all those chargers are not really accurate but useful. Using a parallel board is the same as doin...

Re: new eZip motor
Don't put too much power into the Bikeling hub motors. I did and the clutch or one way bearing started slipping. I did like that little hub but it didn't like how I abused it. Was in a wet field of grass and weeds and when I hit the switch for more power it started slipping. I made it home but unabl...

Re: new eZip motor
NFW would I consider a chain drive at that power on a flimsy bike frame. A motorbike conversion maybe but no way on a flimsy pedal bike frame. Just my personal feelings. Rear Hub motor but never a chain frt and rear. You want 50mph, all you need is a good rear hub 3kw motor and 72+ volts and you are...

Re: new eZip motor
That is cheap for a BMC kt. Especially from Hi-Power. A BMC is almost the same as a MAC. Mac copied and upgraded it. Mac offers a few more wind options. As for what's worth I have both. A BMC was my first Geared hub motor and I still have one on my wife's bike. I think it's about 8 yers of limited u...

Re: new eZip motor
have you tried turning the motor with the cover up and tapping on the axle with a piece of wood and hammer. The cover might just be rusted stuck on the axle. have done it before when the cover won't slide off. The rotor might move a little in the magnet ring but won't fall out unless you push it out...
