Give it up and buy a new one!
You could have flipped burgers for the number of hours you have wasted on this to pay for another one.

Re: LTC6811 Implementation Thread

Look at Altium Circuit Studio, a slightly less fancy version than Designer, but almost the same user interface. It does everything you need, autorouting,3D, same as Designer, it probably uses the same underlying engine. You don't need a $10K layout/schematic system, that is for laying out motherboar...

The wire looks fragile.
I don't know if it would ever make it on a home-grown bike.
He's doing packs that stay indoors and dont move or bounce or shake.

Thanks a lot crystalyte! blown motor-> blown controller

After using this crystalyte HS motor for a couple of years, my 5 year old Kelly controller blew it's FET's. I bought an adaptto which worked ok for 4 days then, extreme vibrations at 10mph and above. It turns out one of the phase wires was pulled so tight along the inside circular motor frame, it wo...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Thanks for the update and diagnosis. Glad to hear you found the issue. Yeah, I just found the exact problem. Turns out they pulled the phase wires down so tight with zip ties to go out the axel one rubbed on the edge of the motor inside circular frame. it eventually (2 year old motor) rubbed and sh...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Update On Vibration Problem with Adaptto: After working with Oleg, it was not an Adaptto problem, but a burned/shorted? phase wire inside my motor. It was odd because it started severe vibration 4 days after I installed my new adaptto, so I assumed it was the controller. I am really happy with the s...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

******UPDATE***** NOT ADAPTTO PROBLEM. after getting excellent customer service from Oleg, turns out it was a burned motor phase wire. Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Sounds like your problem is similar to the one i have (with the 2WD Mini-E Setup)......... Good to know someone else has experienced this. I will try turning off regen, I've already reset the controller to factory settings and that didn't help. I will try upgrading the firmware too, I just got the ...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Has anyone had problems with excessive vibrations at certain speeds? I've had my brand new Mini-E working great for its first 4 days. It was super smooth and quiet compared to my old Kelly KEB controller. But yesterday it started vibrating when it starts and then again when it is in a 9mph-15mph spe...

Re: bms IC 2016

TI has a bunch, I think some some of them are used in tesla packs.
They even have a 16 cell one though its too new and unavailable.
TI and Linear Tech seem to know what they are doing and offer eval boards and all the in's and outs's and other circuitry needed for their chips.

I guess what I'm really after is a battery MONITORING system, a guardian angel rather than a gatekeeper.
I think speedict has a monitoring system available. called Neptune? I guess it relies on a cellphone/bluetooth. I think they are trying to do some balance ones in the future.

Re: Xt-90S spark arresting connectors - Really work?

The value which I think is 10 ohms is way too small and the wattage is way too small. (1/4 watt?) You have to plug them in part way wait a couple of seconds for the controller to charge up then push it in the rest of the way so the resistor is out of the circuit. One day i did'nt push it in all the ...

There was an article in todays RGJ.com about the progress of the factory. They already have 175 people working there non-construction. They are building the home power power wall there already. Rumor I heard from a electronic sales rep yesterday too, that they will be building the BMS boards and stu...

I'd be careful with that company and their chip. Not very well known or tested. Gone from Amazon?
Amazon says the satiator is unavailable. Wonder if a new model is coming out? or something else going on with using Amazon.
I liked buying from Amazon rather than direct from Canada because of the crazy Canadian shipping costs.

I've had my zephyr bms going since it was released years ago and its been going ok so far with 16s headway lifepo cells from years ago, which seem to last forever. Up until now I've been using a meanwell with the 'hiccup' current limiting board to charge. I just bought a cycle satiator charger and w...
