Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Thanks @casainho.

Turns out one of the inner hall sensors is not working anymore. Finding the assembly as a spare part looks difficult. Anybody having a fried motor with working hall sensors wanting to sell it to me ?

Re: TDSZ2 : Error 3 "Torque Fault" ?

Update. Found the hall sensors that are actually mounted just beside the screw power terminals behind a black silicon paste. Here are some pictures. I tried to resolder the joints without success. 51910AC4-6E10-4103-A8B1-A543D2DCEA46-8292-000001F05666C4F9.jpg 24553166-9943-42DC-AA83-C6CDB6A0009C-829...

Re: TDSZ2 : Error 3 "Torque Fault" ?

So the hall sensor has indeed a problem. I tested using the method provided on this thread : https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=105444&p=1543436&hilit=led+hall#p1543566 https://i.imgur.com/NktFBwJ.jpg With the sensor connected to the controller I measure voltages either 0 V or +5V...

That error name is not correct on the firmware, must be corrected.
This is how it appears : https://nextcloud.gaillet.be/index.php/ ... q47M2Jy27t

Re: TDSZ2 : Error 3 "Torque Fault" ?

Error numbers 3 happens because the motor is pulling current but not rotating, it is blocked. Maybe the hall sensors connector has any issue?? Check the hall sensor signal on the advanced Technical menu. Spot on. The display shows somewhat random numbers between 5 and 7. Sometimes 4 appears too. Le...

My motor stopped giving power. Reason was black and red wires coming from torque disk to controller were broken in the root of the disk.
I measure 2,7 ohms. I guess the sensor is electrically ok. Thanks anyway.

Sure, but that’s a somewhat tedious task. Maybe there will be other ideas before I try that ?

Hi guys, My TSDZ2 is dead 🙁. I opened a separate thread, maybe you could help me diagnosing why my motor suddenly doesn't work anymore after adding a temperature sensor ? (Display oddly shows : Error 3 : Torque Fault ) Would you be kind enough to have a look at it ? https://endless-sphere.com/forums...

TDSZ2 : Motor Hall Sensors replacement (originally Error 3 "Torque Fault" ?)

Hi, I need help to understand what's wrong with my motor who died during a maintenance. 🙁 It's a TSDZ2 running the Opensource-Ebike-Firmware 1.0. What's wrong ? Motor doesn't work anymore : it emits a small buzz but doesn't turn. It makes a somewhat louder 'tick' when cutting power. When pedalling o...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Thanks @casainho ! Did you manage to solve the most obvious issues for that 1.0 release ? * auto power off not working (just found my battery completely depleted this morning) * SW102 lockup issues in configuration mode - calibration impossible * power cut-offs on bumps with default configuration. R...

I understand that there is no knowledge about how many man hours and effort is need to implement and maintain all the features. Not at all, quite the contrary actually 😊 I understood that you were requesting comments and suggestions, return from user experience. That's what I did. Those are not cri...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Nobody must use all 20 levels! You are free to change only 3 or 5 or 10. I can't understand why we should change this! Casainho has declared in a earlier post why he want this! No problem with that, even if I'm not aware of the reason why those 20 levels could be necessary. But again from an UX poi...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I would like the display to automatically recalculate the assist multipliers between 0-1.5 when you change the number of levels. So if you set it to 10 levels then it would keep 1.5 as the maximum but just interpolate new values for the other 8 steps. I thought it was the case, at least internally ?

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Also : • auto power-off doesn’t work (whatever the duration set). • setting a number of assistance levels <=9 is difficult because of a bug in the way long press down button is handled. IMHO From an user experience perspective I don’t really see the added value to have more than 5 or 6 levels. At th...

Are you using an SW102 display? I had some display hangups when configuring mine the other day.
Yes indeed, sorry forgot to mention it. I opened a case on GitHub : https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-fir ... /issues/98

The problem was already present in 0.8.0 but less prominent.

(Motors cuttofs on bumps) Please report if that solved or not your issue.
Indeed my rapid test shows that disabling the fast "cadence fast stop" setting solves my issue. What could cause those cutoffs ?

Probably you need to disable the fast cadence stop configuration. Please report if that solved or not your issue. Ok since I had 0.8.0 that setting was not available. Also I don't have suspensions at all... I just updated to 1.0.0B1 and currently configure it. I'll report. One thing I notice : ther...

Motor cut off on bumps

Hi, Since I installed that firmware (latest stable) there is a very annoying problem : the motors cuts off on bumps and shocks. That's a very short cut but makes it impossible to ride on trails. I rode 150km with the stock firmware, it never happened. Since I only changed the display for a SW102 and...

Wrong information for Hydraulic brake sensors on TSDZ2 / SW102 (opensource firmware)

The wiki ( https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/TSDZ2_wiki/wiki/How-to-install-brake-sensors ) states : You can find on online shops that sell this sensors as "BAFANG Hydraulic Brake Sensor" but don't worry because this are generic sensor that work also on TSDZ2. You can buy them here on PSW...
