Re: Can I and should I do this
Questions: 1. It has 26” tires on it now but would like to put 20” on it. I am older and want to have my feet on the ground and also have trouble swinging my leg over as my balance isn’t what it use to be. Can I safely put 20” tires on it? Will I need to change out the front suspension to something...

At least Spring is close. Ground hogs day should be soon. You're early. For next year :!: Groundhog day is Feb. 2, where you live. :P Don't necessarily need a bike shop for front suspension (or any) forks. Ebay is full of them, they deliver, you have experience buying things off the internet looks ...

Re: ebikes.com or endless-sphere.com
If we are allowed to make comments here, I would like to say that to me, endless-sphere does seem klunky and not entirely descriptive, nor SEO friendly, but ebikes.com is flashy and better for scaling, yet not really appropriate because the forum(s) here are more than just ebikes. Also, maybe we sho...

Re: Hailong 03 down tube battery - how to attach it appropriately?
Add a few more rivet nuts (sometimes called "rivnuts") to the DT. Four should anchor it better than two, no? 5mm is standard but you could easily install 6mm. If you feel you lack the skills (check YT for adding rivnuts to bicycle frame) most good bicycle shops do this routinely, no big de...

I remember seeing a Micah Toll youtube video explaining this a few years ago. Seemed rather simple. Two controllers, sharing one throttle IIRC. He was doing two wheel burnouts on the beach!

+1^ as mentioned above to approach the hill with as much momentum as possible to maintain as much speed as possible in an attempt to keep the motor in its most efficient range. If you are concerned the hill might fry the motor attempting to summit first try, why not test climbing 1/4 the way and fee...

Re: Help me Electrify it!!
Currently riding a bike with both PAS and half-twist throttle. Best of both worlds kind of situation. Simply PAS most of the time, getting on the throttle for hill climbing, crossing intersections, etc. Releasing the throttle reverts back to PAS. Second best was my previous build that had only half-...

Very slick. Did you notice any frame flex (with no downtube)? I had shown him how to adjust the charger voltage, and also turned out that the trim potentiometer operates backwards! It has to turn clockwise to lower the final voltage I had at least one like that. I drew a small curved arrow on the po...

https://endless-sphere.com/forums/download/file.php?id=287868 Suggesting maybe a better location for the controller is on the seat tube, either above or below the "junction box" (which you may not need if you can seal up the connections well with sealant inside of heatshrink tubing, wrapp...

Couple things here caught my attention: The rear wheel jump out, motor stop working and LCD displays error related to trottle, I guess the cables twisted inside... My bike is working pretty well without the motor and I don't want to ruin it. Good on you for clarifying your priorities to yourself. Although "ruin it" is in the eye of the beholder, adding a sufficient battery (weight!) to satisfy your speed priority, and motor (more weight!) will drast...

Battery fits in the triangle, not sure how to attach it though. Need to think something. Can you get the slide-in mount for the battery? They are very common. Then attach the slide-in mount to the downtube via the existing water bottle bracket 5mm screws. Here is an example (recommend you mount you...

Next time the lawyers lips give you trouble just grind them down level with the rest of the dropout clamping surface. Much easier, and it probably would have given you several more mm for the TA, washers, and nuts to fit better. PS The president couldn't and can't "FIRE MCONNELL" but McCon...

I've realised that, as I'm putting the CA at the front where the old computer was, I've got longer cable runs to sort out. I'm currently between ordering connectors and a crimper and making my own, or buy extensions and deal with excess cable. A simple solution would be to cut out a center section ...
