I think I changed more than 50 broken spokes in the back wheel during the trip.
That shows some real dedication! Did you just happen to carry 50 spare spokes? If not, where did you get them? Seeing as they were probably oddball size for rear hubmotor?

Re: Truing this Disc rotor is trying my patience

I hear a crescent wrench can do more damage to the rotor. How so? If used carefully the only possible damage I can see is if the wrench jaws were greasy from previous use on greasy or oily items. But even then, any grease transferred to the rotor can be cleaned with alcohol. ... leave it all the wa...

This should improve your overall comfort level quite a bit. Unless you are carrying heavy loads no need to inflate them to the upper end of the range.

Like AW says, stay away from the "flexible handlebars." :?

Would it be ok to parallell a few of these without the case and make two of these packs for serie connection for 88v~ nominal battery?
Not sure what you mean here. Wire in parallel to double capacity (Ah), wire in series to double V.

Why not ask vendor for the dimensions?

If by alloy you mean aluminum alloy, then yes install TAs, if for nothing else than for keeping the wheel attached in case of dropout spread, cracking, axle nut loosening, or other damage. Loss of the front wheel is hard on the body.

Don't know if variable regen is possible, but looks like you jumper EBS to GND to enable basic regen.

Re: Buying a new battery: your advice sought

So why would I pay so much more for a nice case - or, putting it another way, why shouldn't I go for the (much) cheaper option? Is there any significant reason why an unboxed one wouldn't do, especially if I put it in a good, secure bag on my rear rack? Your question is valid, but you are approachi...

Haha sure. How about you list your desired speed/distance numbers and we can help you calculate actual power requirements and Wh requirements, and go from there. You may likely find that the resulting battery size is too large for the frame.

Re: Increase AH in this battery or bad idea?

Easiest and likely safest for a noob would be to parallel connect a similar battery to effectively double the Ah. When connecting 'two 48 volt batteries. Is it possible to then up the voltage to 96 volt? Or is it only possible to increase the Amper Hours? Depends how you connect them. Connect them ...

Is it as simple as connecting the plug prongs to the batt + and - ?
If you have to ask, I would not recommend trying this. A tea kettle would work also. Any high power purely resistive home appliance could be a dummy load.
Thanks for the helpful response?
