Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

With all that work on different screens, what are your expectations for the final firmware? Mine, as I told, is just the same as 860C firmware + user HR received by ANT+ or Bluetooth. I do not expect to try replace a Gain Edge!! And why don't you simplify and develop only for Primetime as it seems ...

Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Yeah I'll get around to writing to documentation soon. Not much to see atm really. Lvgl provides a lot of nice widgets but a single button was enough to prove the concept and graphics renderering IMG_20200726_202848_2.jpg Helpfully Lvgl also comes with simulator for the PC so I can mock up the UI wi...

Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Spent the entire day just trying to get my watch code running on top of a softdevice on the X9, who would of thought it'd be so difficult . Anyway I've got the lvgl graphics library hooked in now, got the button controls working so just need to hook in the ANT code and it'll be mostly good to...

Although I have been updating the schema I cannot take claim for the original creation and that one in particular is not one I've touched, I believe it's from @Headless. It would be good if we can get it in github though so it can be updated if needed :)

Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

casainho, have you figured out a way to use NRF_LOG_INFO and receive the data via the SWD interface? It's not strictly needed as debug will do but it'd be nice to be able to log things out for more complicated applications

Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

That seems to be a good idea! I think a watch can have a display of minimum size to work as a very small ebike display. BUT I think there is a big risk on this project, that is Chinese are always changing the product hardware, I mean that you can invest to make documentation and develop the firmwar...

Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

can you reproduce that problem with the ble_app_hrs example (which has a pca10059 makefile out of the box)? I wasn't noticing any issues with this example was nice and stable when I tried it but I was using softdevice s340 rather then the defaul that example comes with. And I'm also using pca10059 ...

Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

I've also been looking into BLE services, I found the ble_app_blinky example difficult as I couldn't convert it easily to use softdevice s340 (and at that point didn't have STLink to debug why the dongle was crashing). The ble_app_hrs example was simple to convert to use s340 though, just requiring ...

Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Guess it's worth doing some experimentation with labels to see if we can have alternative boards much like we have alternative motor cables and then seeing how messy the schematic is The pins used by these two different dongles are quite different. The only common exposed pins they share are the de...

Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

After flashing, try to hit stop and run a few times, maybe it will work. As the command for write the firmware file say autoerase, I hope it will erase before flashing so I do not expect to have any bootloader anymore. I was correct the issue was the bootloader checking application CRC and it not m...

Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Very nice! I'm still hunting down the issues with trying to program my dongle. I've found that the application flash content is correct after a flash and flashing using openocd works if I flash the same hex as what I programmed via nRF Connect as a result it has to be the bootloader which is prevent...

Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Finally got around to soldering pins onto my dongle for the STLink, my dongle is one of the blue ones (i.e. https://uk.farnell.com/nordic-semiconductor/nrf52840-dongle/bluetooth-module-v5-2mbps/dp/2902521) which appears to have a completely different pinout to the ones used in the schematics (can't...

Re: TSDZ2 wireless mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

I think would be better to have only one schematic with clearly indication that user could use one or the other board - or maybe this could clutter to much the schematic? - because I wish to have the most simple and clean one, so users would not be afraid when see it - we need the bare minimum sche...

Re: Fully wireless ANT+ BLE TSDZ2 mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

You are far too quick for me, I'm still messing about with examples xD. My phone appears to support ANT+ but does anyone know any app that is compatible with ANT+ LEV profile (or an app to see raw ANT packets?) or will I need to hack one together? Want to test out the code but it's difficult when yo...

Re: Fully wireless ANT+ BLE TSDZ2 mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Nice docs! Might want to add a quick note about adding yourself to the linux dialout group and rebooting as I assume that is required to talk to the STLink (Haven't tried that myself yet, still experimenting with the usb bootloader which does require the dialout group)

Re: Fully wireless ANT+ BLE TSDZ2 mid drive motor (like Specialized Turbo Levo) -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Been looking for a side project and this looks like something I can get my teeth into. Will need a while to get to grips with the nrf sdk, nrf52840 chipset and ANT+ LEV but happy to help out if I can be of use. Also happy to have a play around with flutter if you need a hand or a tester :)
