Re: Looking for a street legal Electric Scooter/Moped

I mean it takes some work to make it street legal but not impossible, which state are we talking about? I talked to the state inspector for SW Kansas. He made it pretty clear that he was not passing stuff from China. So getting something, then making it legal, is not going to happen. I was wonderin...

Re: how about a 3d printer section?

I recently upgraded to an ender 5+ with 350x350x400 build volume. Hoping to get it reliable enough to print large battery enclosures. I almost bought the ender 5 and maybe I should have, but for $130 I can buy a extension kit for my ender3 that gives me a 400x400x250 build volume. I considered this...

Re: how about a 3d printer section?

I love my 3d printer, but I don't think there's enough material out there on ES to warrant a whole new section. A reasonably sized thread perhaps... make one with the title "3d printed parts compendium" or something like that. I recently upgraded to an ender 5+ with 350x350x400 build volum...

I haven't watched the video yet, but damn, you cut a unit engine in half and kept the tranny?? Amazing.

Edit: I see you somehow fit an entire QS138 in the bottom end. Hahaha, great stuff! Definitely looking forward to your next videos where you explain how the hell you did that. Subscribed!

(By 'from American company' I assume you mean distributed and supported by an American company. No American company actually manufactures their own ebike components.)

Re: MOTO RAE Electric Moped for sale in NYC

I vote yes: "The term moped (/ˈmoʊpɛd/ MOH-ped) originally referred to a type of small motorcycle with both a motorcycle engine and bicycle pedals, or easy-rider, generally having a less stringent licensing requirement than full motorcycles or automobiles. The term is now often used to mean a s...

Re: Looking for a street legal Electric Scooter/Moped

Name one state with issues riding a surron legaly please My biggest concern is the VIN, title, and certificate o origin. In other words, I need to be able to license it. They're not asking for a street legal ebike, clearly. They're looking for something that can be titled and licensed as a motorcyc...

Re: Looking for a street legal Electric Scooter/Moped

there are quite a few options for street legal electric 2 wheelers in the USA. In my opinion the best bang for the buck is the surron, which you can get from BestBuy. I woulnd't buy one, because It's halfway between bike and moto.(which is an advantage for some) but it looks decent with great upgra...

Re: Looking for a street legal Electric Scooter/Moped

While not being a big player like Vespa, CSC is the most established importer of Chinese scooters/motorcycles in the US. I think you shouldn't have a problem registering a bike from them. Also they sell something nearly identical to the flux, so if you want that style I would go with them. Also the ...

It looks a bit funny sticking off a regular bike, but on a longtail cargo it would be more at home. For touring it could be mounted on top of a bicycle trailer cargo box, which you could prop up at the correct angle whenever you get to camp or stop for a lunch break...

First, it's not good practice to post the same topic in multiple places. I'm not familiar with Daymak, but first thing to check is how many connectors are leaving your current battery. If there's just two big cables it's easy to fit a different battery. If there are also smaller signal wires/connect...

Re: QS 138 70H with Gearbox

So what are people’s recommendations for the front and rear sprocket ratios for this motor with the built-in gear reduction? Am I correct that QS says 1:3? I’m looking to use the QS138 70H in a vintage scooter, with a 12” wheel. Scooter will probably weigh around 130-140kg (285-310lbs). Scooter wou...
