EMCT1441 how to connect this controller?
Hi Can't figure this one out. Its brushless. It has 3 phase and 5 wire hall sensors all normal so far... But Can't get it to fire up? There are 3 other connectors Black/white which i thought was brake or on switch. Red/black/green/yellow which i thought was throttle plus brake but could be pedal sen...

Re: crack in frame. salvageable?
If a magnet sticks to it, its steel. Otherwise its aluminum. If its steel, you might be able to slide a thick box section down the tube. Then you can weld it without worrying about blowing holes through it. You need to cut the folding mechanism off first. Test the frame by jumping up and down on it....

Re: Safety Power Switch suggestion
I see no padding in these pics. Without foam padding the battery will bang into the frame and errode the cell insulation causing a short circuit through the frame. And fire

We need more info to even guess the cause of the fire.
What battery?
BMS?
Was it Charging?
How was it mounted?
Hard case?

It's worse than that. The cheap bms just cut off when first cell reaches 4.3v. There is no cell balance.
They are just to prevent fire.

When there is so much power that even the slightest touch of the throttle sends you on your back.

Re: Why no V-brakes on Fat Bikes?
Rim brakes are super annoying because there is so much to adjust. disc brakes are fixed and cant rotate hitting the tyre like rim brakes do. Rim brakes need to be adjusted on so many axis to kiss the rim e.g. up/down, rotationally, in/out. They have to be reguarly re-adjusted cos the adjustment bits...

Re: Lady needs a little help with battery build
Looking at your pictures, the pack seems very close to the frame. I would be a little worried about the battery insulation being worn away by the frame banging into it on the bumps.
You could get have a meltdown if it shorts out!

Re: Ultra motor: What is this hub motor? Is it broken? How do i open it?
so those 4 small wires im guessing are for a throttle or PAS?
maybe its working but i just didn't supply the right throttle input to make it spin?
This is a weird bike cos it had a massive controller shapped thing in the frame too.
and one in the motor it seems...

Ultra motor: What is this hub motor? Is it broken? How do i open it?
Hi Bet you've never seen a hub motor like this before? I looks like a bruched motor with temperature sensors. but when i connect it to a battery it doesn't move just draws a big current. so i figured it must be shorted, but how do i open it? there are no bolts to undo? i tried taking half the spokes...

controller with computer on-switch won't switch on?
Hi is there a way to by-pass a computer controled on switch to switch on with a normal switch? its the 5 wire display shown. I can't get the bike to switch on and i've tried a controller swap with a duplicate controller sent from the manufacturer. I've checked the throttle, halls and battery all ok....

Re: any good 7s bms recommendations?
Yer im just using that to test this BMS.
I've tested another one now and that one was ok. Cut off at 4.3v
So maybe i just broke the last one as i was removing it from the pack to test?
-i didn't want to wreck a good pack just to test the bms. So i stuck it on a week battery.
