Re: phaserunner+MAC turning in wrong direction

Now this is interesting - I was pointed to this thread by another forum member as I'm having a very similar problem, albeit not with the wrong spin direction - have a check on my thread: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=112169 Phaserunner is giving me all kinds of weirdness...

Re: Phaserunner Autotune invalid hall pattern detected.

OK, tried autotune without CA3 attached & got the same error message. Looks like I got a dud GMAC eh? I've emailed Grin, I know they're off the scale busy, but hopefully I'll hear something from them in a day or two.

What a bummer.

Re: Phaserunner Autotune invalid hall pattern detected.

Hi goatman, Yes, shunt is set to 1ohm in CA3. I've been doing some more testing, both outside & on rollers & both the PAS & Throttle seem very erratic - speeding up briefly for no reason & I've only been able to stop it by using the ebrake to kill the motor. Changing the motor positi...

Phaserunner Autotune invalid hall pattern detected.

Hi all, OK, next problem for all you clever people out there. After setting the default parameters from Grin for a GMAC motor using a 52v battery then running the AutoTune feature in Phaserunner I'm getting the following error: https://i.postimg.cc/N0VgD9WB/hall.png A bit worrying for a brand new se...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Hi mrbill,

Others have reported the same problem & as I said, I'd tried multiple computers on different networks - but it started working about 2 hours ago though, so it's all good again. Thanks.

Re: Cycle Analyst firmware download links.

I'm able to download the firmware as of today. Give it another try, they may have had a one time glitch. Hi neptronix, I just tried it again - still no-go I'm afraid. Edit: I kept hitting the update button & after about the 15th attempt it suddenly connected! Yay!! Thanks for the heads up neptr...

Re: Cycle Analyst firmware download links.

Here's what I've tried so far: disable firewall, re-downloading CASetup, running as admin, running on several computers, disconnecting & reconnecting cable, rebooting & powercycling - still can't download new firmware. It can read my CA just fine, it just can't connect to ebikes.ca firmware ...

So, an update on my situation with EM3ev: After supplying my bank with all correspondence & information on my faulty/wrong items EM3ev sent me plus details of their completely non-responsive customer support, a few days ago my bank reversed the payment to EM3ev. A good day indeed as it meant I w...

Cycle Analyst firmware download links.

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any direct download links for CA firmware? My CA Setup Utility seems unable to connect to ebikes.ca website on both my laptop & PC - so I'm presuming their server is offline?

Thanks & regards.

Maybe until you figure out a solution, you could just let off the throttle?
That does not compute.

Re: Rear brake regen, front cut-out only - possible?

I was under the impression you wanted a second emergency brake in case regen is not enough. I probably didn't make myself clear enough - I want the motor to stop running when I use the front brake using a switch in the lever but not to turn the regen braking on - only the rear brake lever will use ...

Maybe you could ask Joseph why he is ignoring emails from customers who were sent the wrong items & faulty chargers? I'd be interested to hear his response.

Re: Rear brake regen, front cut-out only - possible?

The CA will take a few seconds to reboot though every-time you brake. I'd rather not have the CA rebooting every time I brake, plus that would render my regen braking inoperable - so that's not really an option. The 3rd brake line on the ca allows for an effective brake signal, instead of just a sw...

Re: Rear brake regen, front cut-out only - possible?

I think it is possible but setting cutoff source to brake 1 and regen source to brake 2 in the bacdoor app. Sadly my harness combines the inputs of brake 1 and brake 2 into a single brake line so I wasn't able to test it in action. However you can put a cutoff mechanism for any throttle, just splic...

You could just let of the throttle, works well with motorcycles. If you use PAS, you could stop pedaling.
Yes, I'm aware of that, but that's not what I asked.

Thanks anyway.

Rear brake regen, front cut-out only - possible?

Hello all. I'm currently building a touring trike & would appreciate some input on my braking options. My current configuration is GMAC with Phaserunner L10 & CA v3.1 with the rear ebrake using proportional regen via CA while the front brakes are hydraulic disc from a single lever. I'd like ...

I guess you have three wires on the battery side too, correct? I don't know because, as I explained earlier, I wasn't sent any documentation/schematics wha...

Re: EM3ev - Not what I expected. Help needed.

Regardless of how many pins there are, only two are used. Not true I'm afraid. Some batteries (usually good, high end ones) use the 3rd pin as a communications signal, a thermistor for example, or charge control. I've had a couple of batteries/chargers that use the 3rd pin - it's usually there for ...
