Re: First build, random questions about hub motors and overall build

There is a 16 inches magic pie hub setup in todays posts. Might be too fast winding though. I have old 9 continent , slow wind in 20 inch wheel. It only does 16mph at 48 v. Sounds like what you need.

I ended up using 155mm. Bmx cranks on mine for pedal strike. Also good for bad knees. Most non powered riders prefer longer cranks for more leverage.

Re: Do I need and Ark?

I had a great realtor on my first house. Then I bought 6 acres to put a house on. Then I got a county soil type map. Free.. Found out it was some of the worst gumbo clay there is. ๐Ÿ™„ Ended up buying a stone house south of Wichita. Built in 55. Whole town / Udall was leveled by a tornado that yr. It h...

Re: Do I need and Ark?

Damn, 2 inches in a day is a drizzle in Ks. I grew up in Wash. Our "hill" was about 400 ft above the valley. Sumner,Orting,Tacoma. No prob where we lived . Where I live now south of Wichita, is on somewhat high ground between the Arkansas river and Walnut. Perfect. Of course we do have tornadoes, an...

Re: Need to source another full susp.

No hard trails for us. The trails and roads where we camp are on the edge of what is called the Flint Hills in Ks. There is alot of native stone. Large rocks in the road so you have to go slow and pick your way through or probably crash. Even when we tow in some places you have to straddle or drive ...

Re: Need to source another full susp.

Haha. Yep, been looking at bikes for awhile. Since i am old/slow it just needs to comfortable. I know my wife wants a bigger ,better seat. I may look into a thudbuster also , they are pricey. If i can use it on another bike all the better. Also came across this. Not sure i like the rear suss though....

Trying to find picks of the difference. I just started a new job after being off for 4 months. Broke my heel in three pieces ๐Ÿคจ It will be a couple weeks or so before i can get something. Sustainable does fit better. Also we have used hydro reliability for years in the US. Even coal plants have issues. Plus we have a lot of geothermal in a few states also. Of course it is not used because it is not competitive money wise. Not initially. It is like talking "global warming " climate ch...

Some of you may know i have a Fsr w 9c hub. And a Rincon hardtail with a 9c. I am started looking for another fs to put the electrics from the Rincon on. I have looked on pinkbike. Unfortunately still really low budget here. I do not go fast. This rincon is totally stock at 36 v. This may be for my ...

I ran mine on lipo@55 amps for awhile. Nothing compared to lots on here. I have had these 9c kits for about 10 yrs so backed it off for longevity. The bike is a caddy to me. Top shelf in the early 90s. Just wonder if i can control that heavy hub a little better. I may try it ,I can always put it bac...

Dan mentioned phones. They should put an a sensor so if the phone detects "any" movement the screen goes blank. You need directions, pull over. And what about when you want to use it on a train or a bus ? Or passenger seat of a vehicle. While we are on the topic, why not have movie theaters automat...
