Re: project e-trailer w solar charging
Is that what you would call a "commercial "solution? Some dudes slapping a motor and battery on some pipe contraption?

Re: project e-trailer w solar charging
I've seen commercially sold motorized e-trailers that push the bike, said to work quite well. Likely they put in better quality professioal design / engineering than what most DIYers can manage. . . I haven't. Would be educational of you if you were to post a few links to that. Not sure how much mo...

Re: 10kW stand-up scooter with air suspension
Hello, my dear friends! I've got some good news for you! I am moving forward to mass production of my scooters! I've decided to create a project team. We are planning some fundraising in the nearest future/ And at the moment we are setting up the company and registrating a trademark. The most diffi...

Re: project e-trailer w solar charging
I might be missing something. Sorry TLDR. But. If you have an articulated connection to the trailer behind you, such as a tow hitch, and you hit the go pedal coming out of a turn during lets say wet conditions, or you hit the brakes hard with the trailer at an angle to the bike, there is a chance th...

Re: Bosch Motorsports e-GoKart Powertrain Young Star
Yes. Very similar to the GM e-assist. If you read one of the articles linked above I think it was the other way around. Bosch created their mild hybrid version for motorsports applications and then planned to sell it to automakers for what they call something like a 15% reduction in fuel consumption...

Bosch Motorsports e-GoKart Powertrain Young Star
Did several searches and couldn't find any threads on this. But I am miserable at searches so this might have been posted before. Already about 3 years old. There is a large discrepancy between early articles and the actual specs on the Bosch Motorsports catalogue. Press releases: https://newatlas.c...

Re: BOSS LEVEL CUSTOM SPOT WELDER
Sure you can. But you do need some experience with a solder iron. It's not what I would call easy.

GM E-assist Motor / Generator Controller
I am looking into the possibility of retrofitting second generation GM e-assist generators, or what GM calls a "belted assisted generator (BAS)" to other vehicles. Mostly to add bottom end torque but also as a potential range extender. I also have a gas powered Tony kart sitting around I c...

Re: BOSS LEVEL CUSTOM SPOT WELDER
Mine says fet error and won’t work. Anyone fix these? I’m in need of something that will weld .1mm copper so I can finish this battery. Any recommendations for something I can get fast to Cali? It said fet error after I welded without the cell being pressed firmly and causing a big blowout in the ....

Re: BOSS LEVEL CUSTOM SPOT WELDER
I have two of these units.
One of them started intermittently not recognizing that contact between the electrodes was being made and now it will recognize it at all. There are no error messages on the screen.
Where should I start looking / checking for problems?
