Re: 72V Motorcycle Wheels Mac 6T Motor Street Ride
As far as convective cooling... ... Been running the water/mocool mixture in my MAC for two months and no problems yet...I plan to open up the motor after about six months or if it has any issues and do an inspection to see if/how much the water/mocool are harming the motor internals. What do you t...

Re: BMS mystery - how does it actually work?
Hi all, I have a general BMS question. I currently have two typical china-made batteries in parallel and I use one charger with them. The charger plugs into the charge port on one of them and the second gets charged through the discharge leads at 4.2V per cell. Would you expect the second battery to...

Re: What to do with 10s1p battery packs that dont balance ch
Didnt fully get how you cut your charge time in half.
Good news for me is ive never charged them to over 4.1 V. I usually keep them plugged into the charger set at 3.8 V and then set the charger to take them up to 4.1 V before I use them.
Bad mews for me may be that i use them at 3-4C.

Ok yeah, Ill do that first. Ill poke holes in the shrink wrap and check them every month or two, In the hopes that these 25Rs work their magic and keep themselves balanced

Re: What to do with 10s1p battery packs that dont balance ch
Thanks dan, unfortunately there are no jst plugs or balancing wires. My charger has a setting to charge them to 38 V or 41 V so I charge them a little as I can. I have run them down to LVC once. Otherwise I generally run them down to 35 - 37 V. I have 4x of these 10s1p packs. They are parallel stack...

Re: What to do with 10s1p battery packs that dont balance ch
Thanks Amber, thats a good point. I just have no idea how to pick a BMS. I have 4 of these 10s1p packs that have HVC and LVC. Are there mini-balance only BMSs out there? Any ideas where i would find a BMS?

What to do with 10s1p battery packs that dont balance charge
I bought these battery packs from ebikes.ca for travelling. They are small enough to take on an airplane - then they parallel stack to form a usable ebike pack. They have a BMS but apparently it only does LVC and HVC. I'm afraid that after some use they will eventually get unbalanced, and not last t...

Re: Looking for 44V (12s) ebike battery, good for 60A contin
Only reason I want to avoid that is to make the whole charging process seamless - just having a single connector. And so I can take the charger with me on rides, easily. If I go the with the balance charger, do you know any good sources for packs that are safe with a long cycle life? (like made of 1...

Re: Looking for 44V (12s) ebike battery, good for 60A contin
4.35v per cell???? Not really, I hope. Dan 4.3 per cell is in extreme RC uses, like for racing. The vedder controller im using comes from the RC world. Anyway, I was just entertaining the idea. I doubt there is a 13s BMS out there that balances at 4v per cell. Most likely I'm looking for some obscu...

Re: Looking for 44V (12s) ebike battery, good for 60A contin
I think 12S RC LiPo voltage will land you right around 13s 18650 voltage. Yes, so I did the math and 12 cells X 4.35 v per cell is 52.2V (max voltage. 4.3 per cell is in extreme RC uses, like for racing. The vedder controller im using comes from the RC world) 13 cells X 4.0 v per cell is 52V so thi...

Time to revisit this! Turns out 13s just won't work. So heres another shout out, anyone know of any good 12s ebike batteries? Can you elaborate? No one makes 12s packs. Do you have a 12s charger or a weird controller? Its the controller, I have to make something work with the Vedder controller (VESC...

Re: A2B Metro - www.ultramotor.com - Video Page4
All your numbers seem normal, it just looks like the controller is speed limiting. probably. I remember the stock a2b used to come with a button that would take it from 250w to 500w and higher top speed probably. It was kind of like an "off road mode" switch / button. have you tested the s...

Good 5s BMS for Li-Ion?
Hi, I'm looking to build a small battery with about 40 Samsung 29E or 32E cells. The peak power is certainly no more than 500w. I'd like a BMS with low current consumption so the battery doesn't drain when stored. There are ebay listings that quote the current consumption but I have no idea how to t...
