Re: Side cover mod, now motor problem. HELP

Did you charge your battery, may be low voltage cutoff in controller? Sometimes it's the simple stuff.

90km/h on those fronts on a tadpole. Evil kneivel would love to have those guts. My tadpole gets ridden the most and I love it but just not sure that one would be rideable at that speed.

Re: wireless HD alternative to wd my book live

Hey Ypedal, if you have another place to put the stuff, you can most times put the drive in the freezer for about an hour and then it will start up and run for at least a couple of hours. It only works once or twice but I have saved ata like that before. Get your stuff off as soon as possible. I thi...

Re: So, what would you do with this trike to electrify it?

I would suggest keeping power driven mechanicals to the very very minimum. Parents today will not hesitate to litigate against any person or place that harms little Johnny. Even when little Johnny is a known pinhead with absolutely no home training. A crank drive setup would almost certainly get a f...

Re: New trailz motor

I would go the 48 volt route. With the larger motor you may, again may, have a little unused power for the speeds you want to accomplish. The 600 watt motor doesn't seem to be enough to go 30 mph for any length of time and if it did it would be dependent on rider profile and weight. I seem to rememb...

Re: Electric "tough bike"

I like this frame a lot. It looks like it could be built by far more people than a tube frame. Cad layout of the frame sides and a few :) more details looks doable. Keep at it for all us non tube welding guys.

The speed of the hull will be the determiner. Each hull has characteristics that will determine planing speed. This speed will vary with weight. The manufacturer should be able to tell you whether the hull will plane with the speed/weight you plan to have I think you are on the right path keeping nea...

Hope you are not in the U.S.A. The last time I checked they would not sell anything associated with the Cri Cri to the U.S.

Clean cover and freewheel thoroughly then J-B Weld. If you just use your pedals for backup it should last a lifetime.

Re: Thoughts on new drive system/s. What would you like?

Hi Matt, I agree with a lot of what Kurt says. A few additional ideas would be: A unit that would not modify the existing drivetrain so that one would not have to break his existing bike to install this one. For a broader appeal it would seem that a lower kv motor and a controller that wouldn't make...

Bench power supply for direct charging?

I have several different configurations of konion, lifepo4 and nicad batteries. I have never owned a bench power supply and was wondering what would happen if I used it for a charger say for 10 lifepo4 cells. Say I set the voltage to 36.5 and the amps to one amp for instance(once the pack was well b...

I don't know if this is appropriate or not but in the used items section there is a guy that has lots and lots of cheap motors and controllers. Thread name escapes me. It says something like big haul. Anyway he may be able to get you on the road. Disclaimer: I don't know him and have not bought or r...

Re: giant suede problem.

I would try putting the VOM on the battery terminals (each battery, one at a time if more than one battery) and riding the bike. It is possible that there are multiple cells bad in the battery that once it sat a min. or two would indicate enough voltage to run the bike again but cut out shortly afte...

Hello, If the bigger shim is not too too large you could saw a slot in it like the small one shows and it would close up when you tightened the clamp.

Scrolled through the gallery pictures and some of them have the front hub and others do not.:?: I guess it is a regular bike, albeit a cargo bike, with a factory electric option.

Re: Do bicycles have targets painted on them or are we invis

I vote invisible, case in point my wife has a friend that was hit yesterday. A truck with really big mirrors and the driver never saw him until after the mirror broke his skull. About half of his scull is now in his abdomen waiting for his brain to return to normal size and a determination as to whe...
