Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

Thanks for the pictures Vasiliy.
Not a lot of room in there.

Side note, we received custom tubes for the first frames batch, so production of the first 12 frames will begin now.

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

Hello, Did not reply the last few days as I was on a shoot with the bike. I need to check with Lucas the latest updates about motors and other critical path things. https://lmxbikes.com/en/all-terrain-emtbs/140-lmx64-enduro-emtb.html On the product page it says PREORDER and shipping from march 2019 ...

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

Thanks for the video ... this looks great in my opinion. Very tempting to order. I love the look of black and orange. Great work guys. Thanks for the kind words. We are working hard on this bike. The BCD is 104 for our bikes chain rings. I know Sempu offers other options but this is the most availa...

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

Yes we use square taped sempu 4.3 sensor. They do not carry/produce the ISIS type. We also buy the crank arms from them, they are forged. I asked for strength and cycling load test report for those cranks, but they only had it for another crank style from the same manufacturer, with same process and...

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

As requested, we made some video of trail riding without pedalling. Rider is Tom, one of the interns (motorcycle assembly and maintenance) at LMX. He has been with us since August and will stay 3 years total.

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

Around 55kph on the GPS.
That is without any field weakning.
Yes the black powdercoat and your choice of stickers colors is included in the price. Custom paints with any tint you want are possible but extra $$.
Best regards,

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

No problem I can make a video of that. The motor and controllers are up to a lot of power continuously, the main limiting factor is the battery, with 5P of 35E cells pusing more than 0.5-1C average (1 to 2h ride full to empty) is asking for trouble. With 30Q cells it would be less of an issue but th...

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

Already posted it just above ;)
We are now testing an improved version and will check the durability over the next few weeks, to see how long it lasts.
Hopefully as long as the sprocket, but anyway it is an independent part we added and can be changed.

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

We found some tricks to reduce sproket noise.
Microphone in the vidéo pics more noise than actual, see for exemple when I click speeds.
Now comparable to a geared hub motor or dirty Bosch cx Drive on comparable power.

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

We are still waiting on the 14t sprokets so I can not say yet we found the solution to that. It is not that bad, a lot less than a GNG style or cyclone Anyway it is our main improvement focus. Here some fresh pics of a matte black 64 with orange stickers. This one is setup wuth a thumb throttle and ...

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

This bike needs a 200*57 or 200*51 with 22*8mm bushings.
You need a stronger spring also, 500-600lbs/inch would be about right for a 80kg rider

We don't have good prices for fox products. I will check again but you will find better prices on online sales.
It's possible for us to provide the bike without forks if you like.

Latest video with some details of the controller, modes setup and controls. For the serial model we will add an external mode switch close to the dropper seatpost remote with up/down keys to ease mode switch during the ride. As I said before we are working on reducing noise, with some lower KV motor...

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

We added the first version of the stickers kits on the test bikes : IMG_20181112_091355 (2).jpg The packs are very easy to swap, like any hailong/reention case. There is a possibility to add a second case below the down tube for more capacity, but you would have to run the two battery in //. No prob...

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

The bike is very well suited to jumps and is very playful par to modern 160-180mm enduro MTB. Here is a video we shot riding the LMX 81. Check the gap at 0.52, landing in the roots. 6VuNY9PIo_c The 64 does the same, only much better stability due to shorter rear end/longer front triangle, lower bott...

Re: LMX 64 : Freeride Ebike with dual drive and torque sensor

The 1.5 kilo weight savings all in the wheels? Nice. Less rotational mass. How much weight savings by going tubeless? And how much of that is the tire choice? Actually saved 1.1kg per wheel with new rims, around 350gr saved in tubes and 250-300 gr saved by going with enduro/gravity folding tires in...
