Re: MID drive 1500W (135€) and 3100W (280€) brusheless motors

4kw output is really pushing it on the 30mm, it depends on what you call "peak" From my dyno testing the 30mm can not really output more than 4kw for a few seconds before temperature gets too high. The latest stock of 30mm have 0.35mm laminations and thicker phases, also a KTY 84 sensor integrated. ...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Hi guys, report from the belt testing, I did another 21 km of testing this moring with zero issues, I had branches getting stuck in the derailleur but none in the belt due to the high wraping angle I guess. I tried to take some more videos but it was very foggy and wet :? I would have riden more but...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

I did the test no load with our sound meter, at around 20 cm from the motor sprocket and max speed, belt is 83 db and chain is 98-99 db, so it is a pretty substantial difference. I think it is even more noticeable under load.

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Thanks for the update Adam. I'll put my hand up to test. I like to run my mode 3 with 200 phase amps, so we'll see if it can handle that! It looks like there is a lot of slack in the belt. Would it make sense to use a slightly shorter belt? Cheers For 200A I can not tell about the handling, that is...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Nice picture! About the sound, yes it could be a stiff link or some debris under one of the sprocket teeth. If you have a master link it could also make this noise as it goes trough the tensioner. Here is some early view of the belt drive sound, as I will be making a full video soon with explanation...

Re: LMX 64 test bikes - Black friday 4200€ incl VAT shipped EU

55 km/h
It could be higher with more field weakening amps, maybe 65-70. But it is not really our thing

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

At low RPM it is really not that noisy with the chain. Above 20-25kph it starts to be much noisier than some other systems. Unfortunetely some of the 12t low noise sprokets had à groove for the oring that ended up being too deep so the damping effect was lower than what we had on our test bikes. Sor...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Just want to let you guys know we started tests on a 8M pitch belt drive solution, but that first tests are not super promising as far as max torque handling goes. More/better results early next week hopefully. Noise is perfect though. 100% backward compatible.

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Adam For low volume production you could vacuum form it in ABS plastic using a much cheaper mold. You could also make it in 2 or 3 layers of carbon fiber so it could be flexible. yes, but we would like to integrate some sort of lip to make a good fit between frame and cover and keep mud out. We hav...

Re: E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

Here is something we have been thinking/ testing, what doit you think about it? Goal is to hide the battery and protect from mud and water. I can send the 3d file by e-mail for those interested to try it and print one! Then for serial we would have to get a mold done for that part to get it injectio...

We tested both configs in EMC. Both were Ok, as usual problems in EMC emissions come from the led lights drivers.

On our way for homologation, we have preorders open for the 45km/h version of this bike.
