Re: Sevcon Controller, what BMS to use??

The cheap BMS disconnects the charger when the battery is full and it disconnects the controller when the battery is empty. The more expensive ones can give your a warning (I mean not a beep, I mean a signal via a bus system or a wire) before both states are reached, and there are also BMS out there...

Re: Qs 138 and sabvoton 72150 throttle response

Have you driven your kart or are you testing with wheels in the air. The Sabvoton does a current regulation. So with no load you will see with a little bit throttle always max rpm. You can set Start voltage and end voltage of the throttle and mid current in the App or in the software. Just Check wha...

From the OPs text.

25Px15A Discharge
But Samsung has listed 20A in the datasheet. So no need to worry while acceleration.

Re: Optimum Battery set up for my EV scoot Spec?

25x15=375😉
In the samsung datasheet they have listed 20A as max continous discharge.
That gives you 500A which should be enough.
31kg without housing and Connectors.
And you have to do a lot of welding.

Re: Optimum Battery set up for my EV scoot Spec?

If your battery is capable of giving you around 600A peak this schould be big enough. 600Ax90V=54kW At least ist would aim for a minimum of 400A peak, more ist better, but also more expensive. Cooling is probably needed when you want to isloate your battery against cold weather, and heat it in winte...

Re: Sabvoton 72150 help

The SVMC gives 150A until it either shuts off with an over current error, or it shuts off when it reaches his max temperature, in the first situations you can only drive on if you have the posibility to switch the power to the controller off, as the app has no reset switch for errors, or I didn't fi...

Re: Sabvoton 72150 help

You don´t need a cable for the computer. Bluetooth is enough. Your Sabvoton is set to max current 150A Either your battery does not give more current or your motor does not want more current, or your cables between battery and controller are limiting the current. How much is the voltage sag while fu...

I use 20Ah high power pouch NMC cells in 21S5P configuration wheighting 70kg. They are rated 8C continous discharge an 5C continous charge. At the moment I´m drawing only 165A peak, and about 90A continous, the battery heats up 3°Celsius from full to empty. I have my battery completly isloated (20mm...

Same happend to my Sabvoton SVMC 72260 , Mosfets died with flux weakening activated while testing on the main stand. Got it running for a few days after changing the dead FETs, but now it doesn't turn the motor anymore. My SVMC72150 died the same way, but the Mosfets are still ok, but it doesn't tur...

Re: Does anyone know this controller

I would start with the bluetooth adapter and your existing controller. Have a look what is set in your controller. The suplier of the bikes hould know what is inside. You have to set/program the new controller, but you can always set it with the same values as your existing controler which should gi...

Re: Does anyone know this controller

Try to find out if your Motor is rated 10000w continous or peak. If it is 10kW continous then you must find out how much amps your battery and the bms can supply. Perhaps your battery is the limiting factor for a big controller. The 721200 is big and expensive. You must also find a place for it. I w...

Re: How to easily/safely test a diy battery?

You can hook up an imersion heater, or any other simple heating system like hotplates or oil radiators. With simple I mean the one with the mechanical thermostat I would test with the continous power/current your motor can pull. I tested my 21S5P (100Ah) pouch battery pack on my 5kW scooter with 82A...

Re: Does anyone know this controller

For fast acceleration you need either a light scooter and a light driver or more phase Amps.
I just ordered a ND96850 for my 180kg scooter., to get it faster off the line.

Re: Nanjing far driver controllers

My Sabvoton 72150 with max 95v does regen only up to 85v. Superflous was to kill a new SVMC 72260 and a new 72150 with no load on the main stand with activated flux weakening. The SVMC 72260 is rated with max Volt 90 and the 72150 with 95V. Regen on the 72150 starts below 84V. For me more max volts...

Up to which voltage does regen braking work with the 72800 / 72850 Modell and with the 96850.

My Sabvoton 72150 with max 95v does regen only up to 85v.
I do not want to buy a controller with which regen works only with lower voltage. I have a 21S battery.

If I stay under the limits of my SVMC72150 the unlock software saves the changes, if I try higher values they are set back to the normal limits, the position of the unlock toggle makes no difference.

Does it work with older Controllers?
