Re: BMS w.bluetooth - question

Their little display is amazing as well and has an on/off button for powering the BMS on for the first time and also for turning it on/off as you please (no self drain when off). .... Any questions about it, just let me know As described in the last posts, I have purchased and installed the JK BMS,...

Re: BMS w.bluetooth - question

I have to replace the garbage BMS in my battery by a decent one. (if interested in details, have a look at my build thread) Actually I am thinking about this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001192978656.html The type is JK-B2A24S-20P - it is a recommendation by the seller of the ANT BMS, whic...

Re: "Copper/nickel sandwich" buses for series connections

I'm using a Malectrics spot welder with a 8ah "50C" 3S HRB LiPo pack I'm trying to spot weld a sandwich with 0.15mm copper sheet and 0.15 slotted nickle plated steel. The copper and the nickle plated steel are sticking to each other just fine but the two layers are not sticking to the bat...

Does anyone have the uLight fitted to their Nucular? Yes for sure. Works amazing. It's an brilliant little piece of hardware and couldn't imagine my setup without uLight. I have a spare just in case 😉 I use it for headlights, tail running lights, and brake lights. I don't have turn signals or horn ...

I copy here what I wrote in Telegram chat. It's not a joke. Nucular could move here in Tuscany (Italy) at Vitesco Technologies where I work. We need to move from automotive hydraulics components to electric ones. Here we can start a production line 😃 I am a mechanical engineer. If Nucular team want...

Nice man! I was about 2 weeks too late for your offer. Literally just paid $280 for a brand new identical unit. Ughhh. Would have loved to buy yours but already overpaid and have mine.
Good luck with the sale, that's a great price for a great product

Re:

So no copper touches the cells? Looks that way. Even though the distance from cell tip to copper, via nickel, is very short... I don't see how that method could be extremely beneficial. Also, solder from nickel to copper is an extremely poor conductor, so hopefully the nickel is making tons of cont...

Hey Guys, I'm in search of a Rion Curve or Boosted Rev scrolling wheel throttle that integrates throttle and Regen in one housing, on the same scrolling wheel. Battery is completed, BMS is live and all is well. Vsett 10+ scooter with dual Nucular 12F controllers. 50% charge with wheels off the ground, 59mph. Can't wait until the weather breaks so I can charge fully and ride. 30 minute test charge at 7a looked perfect. Samsung 48X cells in 20s9p configurati...

Re: "Copper/nickel sandwich" buses for series connections

Yes, split copper with "infinite slot" has been done and it helps. More of the current of welding is forced down through the contact points, and less flows through the strip itself. As a result, less current is needed to get a solid weld. That being said, many pack builders here are happy...

Looks great man. I'm currently building a very similar 20s9p battery except no cell holders and in a "W" pattern with Samsung 48X cells. Experimenting with .1 copper and .15 copper. I noticed for the welding tabs, that nickel plated steel works much better than pure nickel, as it creates m...
