The commercial sets the perfect tone:
If you don't like this bike, you're an anti-American, freedom-hating, anti-innovation, draft-dodging, flag-burning commie parasite, milk-sop, stick-in-the-mud.

So, people will love it even if it's bad.

But it's electric, so it's good.

Re: FLIGHT MH370, Missing JET

The fuzzy math behind the search for MH370. The March 25 report stated that Inmarsat had used a new kind of mathematical analysis to rule out a northern route. Without being very precise in its description, it implied that the analysis might have depended on a small but telling wobble of the Inmars...

Re: FLIGHT MH370, Missing JET

I'm now leaning to the fire in cargo, similar to the scenario in the Beast article. If the pilots were good, they'd first program the autopilot to head to a couple of possible landings and then to open sea. While on A-P, battle fire or other crisis. If the situation allowed regaining manual control,...

Re: Car Goes Downwind 2.5 Times Faster Than the Wind

Certainly, if the question was whether it is possible to build a car that can go faster than the free-stream velocity in the downwind direction, using a propeller to provide the propulsive force, generating the power for the propeller via the wheels, the answer would most likely be negative. Many s...

Fire theory by airline pilot: For me, the loss of transponders and communications makes perfect sense in a fire. And there most likely was an electrical fire. In the case of a fire, the first response is to pull the main busses and restore circuits one by one until you have isolated the bad one. If ...

The aircraft is landed somewhere in/near Malaysia (clearly, they can't find their own asses).

This industrial agriculture system also has imposed enormous costs of three kinds. First, it has been a catastrophe for animals. Chickens are bred to grow huge breasts so that as adults they topple forward and can barely breathe or stand. “These birds are essentially bred to suffer,” says Laurie Be...

How to top 9-11 in four easy steps:

1) Steal a big jet.

2) Load it with nuclear waste.

3) Fly it at your enemies.

4) Go to heaven.

Keep in mind, N844AA (Boeing 737) is still missing after being stolen.

Re: How do I destructively remove a freewheel

Hiya Doc,

I'd clamp the freewheel in a vise with the axle pointing up (freewheel pointing down). I'd ensure the vise swivel is tight, crank the vise jaws very tight, then turn the wheel to break it free.
