Re: Carbon fibre frame hack Norco Aline

Cheers, I'll have a look for that app! Yeah it's fun, nice and flickable on the trail and can still wheelie enough for obstacles etc. Funny enough I've only done sand trail riding on it so far, it copes admirably the poor little mac. I've got about 100kms of riding on it so far with zero issues, sto...

Just been laying low and building this. Oh and did nerve damage to my leg so I had a floppy right foot for a few months too... yeah...

Carbon fibre frame hack Norco Aline

Hi everyone, this is my latest frame hack, a new old stock 2008 Norco Aline Park Edition. That's so sick! To someone who has never welded before, how much would I need to spend to get all the tools to do this job? Very inspiring man. Thanks John :) Tool wise you'll need around $2k minimum for an ACDC Tig welder, gas bottle, rods, aluminium sheet etc. Or what deffx said lol. By the way, ...

Cheers guys :) Kepler - the 12fet controller is already mounted internally up near the head tube, you can just see it poking out in one of the pics. Weight is 15kg as it sits, it will end up around 18 - 18.5kg with the Mac and torque arms installed. Yeah basically same running gear as the blue bike ...

Looks great mate, are you happy with the head angle? Looks close to the mark. I think i might try to find a pair of those forks, they're a bit stealthier than the 888 Bombers... Noticed you have a small chain ring fitted so high speed pedal assist is out as it stands. Bugger, sorry Rodger, thats my ...
